The Press Club of India is deeply concerned about independent journalist Ravi Nair's continued incarceration in Gujarat.
We urge authorities in Gujarat to release Nair while the courts decide on his appeals, and to ensure that the criminal defamation law is not used to target journalists.

Who's telling Umar Khalid is Anti National? Has court told that? BJP is telling that. BJP tomorrow will tell, you're an Anti National. Will you believe? He's in jail for years, why is the trail not going on? What are they afraid to conduct the trail?

In all honesty, I think Modi’s way of taking control of photoshoots is fascinating. It is like he is trying to control the rest of the kids.
It was the same with AI-leaders when he made them hold hands.
Out of genuine curiousity, why does he do it like this?
“HATING US WON’T GIVE YOU A JOB OR A HOSPITAL”
https://t.co/4Yai5xwHcx
In this clip, Umar Khalid makes a remarkably simple point:
What will hatred actually give you?
Will it give the unemployed a job?
Will it give those who cannot afford healthcare a hospital?
Will it bring back a business that has collapsed?
No.
And then comes the sharper political question:
Why are citizens being encouraged to direct every question toward their opponents, instead of demanding answers from the government that actually holds power?
The clip argues that when public anger is redirected toward a political opponent, the government can escape accountability.
That is the real danger of politics built around hate and distraction.
Citizens need jobs, hospitals, education, security and dignity.
And governments need to answer for the delivery of those things.
Hatred cannot build a hospital.
Hatred cannot create employment.
Hatred cannot replace governance.
So ask the question where it belongs:
Who has the power to solve the problem — and why aren't we demanding answers from them?
