When a person is breadcrumbed they are left stuck on standby, leading to feelings of uncertainty, anxiety & invalidation. Breadcrumbing can lead to isolation & loneliness, bc it discourages the victim from moving on or seeking new connections. Remember, trust actions not words.

As trauma survivors we often downplay our own trauma.
We convince ourselves it wasn’t that bad, others had it worse or because we can’t recall specifics it maybe didn’t affect us that much.
Trauma is trauma and yours is valid.
Trauma changes the person you become and you begin to believe that certain traits are part of your personality.
When in reality anger, overwhelm, anxiety & hypervigilance are often trauma responses.
@AimTrue7 Some are in a comfort zone for their pain/trauma. They know what to expect and even though it sucks, it is known/expected. Trying to heal shifts them out of their known comfort zone and may be too overwhelming.
