A murtad woman residing in the Thana Mandi area of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has leveled serious allegations against Health Department Malaria Inspector Dharmendra Singh Pal. According to the victim woman Gunjan alias Guljahan, the accused induced her into conversion in 2011 on the pretext of marriage and married her at an Arya Samaj temple. This marriage resulted in two children, whom the accused has now abandoned and stopped funding their education. Alleging false cases and death threats, the victim woman has appealed to the District Magistrate and the Chief Minister for protection and justice.

एक तरफ़ भारत 12–13 सितंबर को BRICS Summit की मेज़बानी कर रहा है। दुनिया के कई बड़े देशों के नेता और प्रतिनिधि दिल्ली में जुटेंगे। भारत इस मंच से सहयोग, स्थिरता और "Humanity First" की बात करेगा।

लेकिन दूसरी तरफ़, देश के भीतर बार बार पहले भी पत्रकारो के खिलाफ़ गंभीर धाराओ में मुक़दमा दर्ज दर्ज हुआ है, हाल में ही #4PM की महिला पत्रकार शाहीन और नफीसा के साथ बुरी तरह हिंसा हुई , हिंसा के बाद आज तक उन महिला पत्रकारों का FIR दर्ज नहीं हुआ मगर जैसे ही हमने सहारनपुर मस्जिद की खबरें दिखाई, मुझ पर तुरंत प्राथमिकी दर्ज कर लिया गया। क्या पुलिस प्रशासन को महिला विरोधी कार्य में लगा दिया है?

मोदी जी एक तरफ तो महिला सम्मान की बात करते हैं दूसरी तरफ उनकी पुलिस महिलाओं पर अत्याचार करती है। ये है इनका असली चेहरा।
ये लोग घोर महिला विरोधी हैं , ये नहीं चाहते की कोई महिला पत्रकार आजादी के साथ पत्रकारिता करे।

अखबारों के माध्यम से मेरे ऊपर FIR होने होने की बात सामने आ रही है-सिर्फ़ इसलिए कि हमने सहारनपुर की एक मस्जिद के ध्वस्तीकरण के बाद वहाँ के इमाम साहब से बातचीत की, उनका बयान रिकॉर्ड किया और वही बात लोगों तक पहुँचाई।

हमने इमाम साहब से सवाल किए। उन्होंने कैमरे के सामने अपनी बात रखी। हमने उनकी कही बात को ही रिपोर्ट किया।

अब उसी इंटरव्यू को लेकर मेरे खिलाफ़ FIR की बात सामने आ रही है।

सवाल मेरा अकेले का नहीं है।

सवाल हर उस पत्रकार का है जो ज़मीन पर जाकर लोगों की आवाज़ सुनता है, सवाल पूछता है और जो देखता है उसे देश के सामने रखने की कोशिश करता है।

जब हम दुनिया के सामने लोकतंत्र, अभिव्यक्ति की आज़ादी और स्वतंत्र प्रेस की बात करते हैं, तो क्या अपने ही देश में पत्रकारों को सवाल पूछने और जनता की आवाज़ दिखाने का भरोसा नहीं मिलना चाहिए?

अगर किसी बयान से असहमति है, तो उसका जवाब दिया जा सकता है।

लेकिन क्या सवाल पूछना अपराध है? क्या किसी पीड़ित की बात लोगों तक पहुँचाना अपराध है?

क्या सच दिखाने वाले पत्रकार को डर के साये में काम करना पड़ेगा? मुद्दा सिर्फ़ मेरा नहीं है।
मुद्दा पत्रकारिता की आज़ादी का है।

क्योंकि जिस दिन पत्रकार सवाल पूछने से डरने लगेगा, उस दिन सिर्फ़ एक पत्रकार की आवाज़ नहीं दबेगी, लोकतंत्र की आवाज़ कमजोर होगी।

सच दिखाना अपराध नहीं होना चाहिए।
पत्रकारिता अपराध नहीं है।

At a commemorative festival of Mahant Paramhans Ramchandra Das, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claimed that the Shri Harihar Temple in Sambhal was demolished and a “structure of slavery” erected in its place, referring to the Shahi Jama Masjid. He asserted that had there been united resistance, the events of Ayodhya would not have been repeated. He said that while the “names” and “faces” may have changed, the “modus operandi” remained the same. He claimed that his government had cleared over 10,000 acres of alleged encroachments from 67 Tirthas and 19 Kups in Sambhal and alleged that “Sanatan Dharma” was again in the crosshairs of “vidharmis,” along with Ayodhya Dham and Ram Janmabhoomi. Adityanath called those who opposed the Ram Janmabhoomi movement “Kalnemi,” accusing them of misleading Hindus while posing as Ram devotees. He declared that a “devotee of Babri” could not be a “devotee of Bajrangbali” and urged attendees to identify them. He also criticised Maulanas who supported declaring the cow a “Rashtra Pashu” (national animal), objecting to their calling the cow an “animal,” describing the wording as deliberate “mischief,” and questioning whether they would teach Hindus how to worship cows.

Mumbai: Khilafat House To Make Way For 120-Bed Hospital, Grave’s Fate Sparks Concern

A 120-bed multi-speciality hospital is planned at Khilafat House in Byculla, but concerns have emerged over a grave inside the compound believed by some to be that of Begum Maulana Mohamed Ali Johar. The AIKC denies plans to remove it and is seeking religious guidance on whether it should be shifted or reburied deeper.

Mumbai, September 10, 2026: A 120-bed multi-speciality hospital is set to come up at Khilafat House in Byculla, but the redevelopment has raised concerns among some members of the Muslim community over the future of the historic site and a grave inside the compound believed by some to be that of Begum Maulana Mohamed Ali Johar.

The All India Khilafat Committee (AIKC), which owns the property, has denied any move to remove the grave. However, its chairperson, Sarfaraz Arzu, said the committee was seeking religious guidance on how the grave should be dealt with as part of the redevelopment.

Khilafat Movement History

The Khilafat Movement was a political movement launched by Indian Muslims between 1919 and 1924 to protect the Ottoman Caliphate, which was then regarded by many Muslims as the centre of the Islamic world. Mahatma Gandhi supported the movement and sought to integrate it with the wider struggle for India's independence.

Senior journalist Saeed Hameed alleged that the proposed redevelopment would erase the memory of one of the founders of the Khilafat Movement. “The first trustees of the Khilafat Committee decided to bury her in the compound of the headquarters and obtained special permission from the municipal corporation for that. The current members of the trust have not followed the will left by the founder trustees,” he said.

Shuaib Khatib, a former trustee of Jama Masjid, also expressed reservations about the project.

Committee Seeks Religious Guidance

Arzu said the proposed hospital would be owned by the AIKC and operated by GHC Hospitals. He said the committee had been seeking fatwas from religious scholars on the treatment of the grave.

“We have several options, either to shift the grave or inter the remains deeper in the ground and erect a block over it. Anyway, after the setback for the road to the municipal corporation, the grave will be on the roadside. We cannot leave it on the footpath. We are in the process of getting a fatwa from the Jama Masjid on the religious requirements for the grave,” Arzu said.

Arzu also disputed the claim that the grave belonged to Begum Maulana Mohamed Ali Johar. “There is no authentic record about the burial, but the grave is secure,” he said.

Hospital Plans And Heritage Concerns

Dr Zainulabedin Hamdulay, chairman and director of GHC Hospitals, said the Khilafat Committee already runs a teacher-training college on the premises. He also denied that a historic building had been demolished to make way for the hospital.

“Most of the buildings inside the compound are new. The old printing press run by the Khilafat Committee is not there anymore. The hospital will be useful for training medical personnel and the local community will benefit from the facility,” Hamdulay said.

Assam: On September 7, eviction action was carried out at the homes of 73 families in areas including Manikpur, Bhelakhamar, Tengabari and Bhojmala, which fall under the Matia Revenue Circle of Goalpara district. The administration says that these people had built houses on agricultural land without completing the legal process required to use the land for residential purposes. सवाल सिर्फ मेरा नहीं है - क्या पत्रकारिता करना, ज़मीन पर जो देखा उसे दिखाना और सवाल पूछना अपराध है?

मैंने वही रिपोर्ट करने की कोशिश की जो मौके पर देखा और लोगों से सुना।

मैं कानून और न्यायिक प्रक्रिया का सम्मान करती हूं। लेकिन सवाल यह है -

अगर एक पत्रकार को सच दिखाने और सवाल पूछने की कीमत प्राथमिकी के रूप में चुकानी पड़े, तो फिर आम जनता की आवाज़ कौन उठाएगा? और लोकतंत्र में पत्रकार की भूमिका आखिर क्या बचेगी?

As far as I can remember, I have never made any political comments regarding asad sahab. It is not my job either. I know my work, and I stick to it. I have always taken care of my handle name and its dignity as well.
That is why I do not think asad sahab has blocked me, because he used to retweet my tweets quite often before today. What suddenly happened, when I had not written anything of that sort, except posts related to Muslim issues?

Assam: In the villages of Krishnai in Goalpara, the administration has demolished Muslim homes. It is being reported that agricultural land was used to construct houses, and homes were built on farmland without obtaining the required land-use conversion.

Krishnai, Goalpara, Assam: The district administration carried out demolition drives against 73 Muslim families across five villages, pulling down their homes. Officials said these families had bought land but had not got it converted from agricultural to residential use.

Affected families allege they were informed only one day before the demolitions, leaving them insufficient time to remove their belongings.

The action followed a complaint by a land-protection committee, which accused people from other districts of illegally purchasing land and settling there.
