@TrevieFontana@Mark_J_Henry Ireland has been a net contributor to the EU budget since 2013. Also when you look at fishing rights, farming and taking EU migrants then we are royally shafted by them, rather than skiving off them.
@OrlaSingh7538@TheGhostSleepi1 It was a very shared experience throughout history. Including Viking and Norman invasions. Dublin was the second city of the Empire and we helped expand the colonies. Architecture. Visits from monarchs were massively supported. Many Irish settled in Britain and remain to this day.
The dual-income household didn't liberate women.
It inflated housing prices, created the childcare industrial complex, and turned every family into a tax bracket.
Two incomes later, you're still broke — just busier.
@OrlaSingh7538@TheGhostSleepi1 As I say, it’s complex, not black and white, like most things. I don’t sneer on anything Irish, I appreciate Irish culture and British cultures. I am Irish, but I think many have this inferiority complex and victim mentality as well as over romanticising rebellions.
