@akibaru If you didn’t provide the biometric within 30 days, your application will automatically be refused. It’s part of their visa process. You can’t whine if you didn’t do your part and expect a visa issuance.
Visa issuance is not a right but a privilege.
Dear @WilliamsRuto, Europe sees Kenya as a leader in addressing global challenges.
And above all, as a reliable partner.
Two years ago, our 🇪🇺🇰🇪 Economic Partnership Agreement entered into force.
Our trade has already significantly increased.
Now we want to go further.
Boost investment with Global Gateway to create jobs and support Kenya’s rise up the value chain.
Support better connectivity and the clean and digital transition.
@MutwiriKirimi During your PhD you must have been trained how to write grants. If so, there are existing EU-African partnerships research programs. Apply for funding there.
@Tom__Dakota@drydenwtbrown Ah, the classic American education system on full display. This perfectly tracks with what Europe thinks of you lot. Do you hold a master’s degree? Because I generally don't converse below that level. This discourse is far above your pay grade.
@papafatsack5436@drydenwtbrown Every time an American tweets, Europe's stereotypes get validated. Unless you’re carrying a master’s degree or higher, don't ping me again. I try to keep my timeline restricted to people with actual higher education. You're dismissed.
@KeenHisAndHers@drydenwtbrown This level of ignorance is exactly why American stereotypes persist. Unless you have a postgraduate qualification to back up your claims, don't bother responding. This discussion is well beyond your level.
@KwekuOA Respectfully disagree. In what context is economics more technically demanding than physics or EE? Having watched PhD and professor presentations in Econ, they consistently lack the technical depth found in hard sciences and engineering. Care to clarify?
@for_sale2nd@Gmoney72ca@TSAdedara Indeed Africa needs them but It’s a capitalist world.
The best offer one gets, they take it.
Analogous to football players, eg. from South America. The clubs in S.America needs them but they get better offers from Europe. Where do they go?
@Gmoney72ca@TSAdedara Who hurt you?
There are certain skills that only 0.0001% of the population has.
America needs those skills and that’s the reason American government introduced the EB-1A(Einstein) or EB2 visa.
@mayukh_panja A PhD isn’t a privilege; it’s a passion.
When you’re driven to push the boundaries of knowledge, you genuinely put extra hours and it don’t feel like a sacrifice.
In Germany, PhD students are employees with set weekly hours. It’s work with a work-life balance.
