@BlueDeathValley Conference realignment discussions take the full scope of the university into consideration. It’s not just solely athletics. The university academic profile, university research standing (R1/R2), budgets, student athlete academics, endowments, etc. are all part of the decision.

@whobuildsarks @BlueDeathValley When we conducted our initial realignment benchmarking the CAA was actually the recommended option but at that time travel would have been more extensive (which we didn’t want). Now that they have a Northern & Southern division it makes sense. Great question!

@BlueDeathValley We need to raise more money for athletic facilities regardless of our conference affiliation. We have had plans in the works even before the move to the Big South. We are working on a communication plan to share information about the decision but we had to wait for the BOT mtg.
