Backend isn’t just CRUD. It’s a filter.

Big tech (Google, Meta, Amazon) doesn’t care about your projects if you fail DSA.
That’s the first wall.

Clear it → doors open
Fail it → nothing else matters

STEP 0: GROUND SETUP

• Pick ONE backend language → go deep
• Git + GitHub → branching, PRs, rebasing
• Linux basics → ls, cd, grep, SSH
• Editor mastery

You should be able to:
SSH → pull repo → install → run server → open in browser

If you can’t do this, you’re still a beginner.

STEP 1: CORE BACKEND

Understand:

• DNS → TCP → HTTP
• TCP vs UDP vs HTTP vs HTTPS
• Methods, status codes, headers
• REST vs GraphQL vs RPC

Practice:

• Build server without framework
• Parse JSON manually
• Add rate limiting
• Version APIs (/v1, /v2)

STEP 2: API DESIGN

• Resource-based design
• Stateless vs stateful
• Validation + clean errors
• Pagination, filtering

Structure:
Controller → Service → Repository

STEP 3: DATABASES

SQL (mandatory):

• Joins, indexes, transactions
• Schema design

You should:

• Design Instagram-like DB
• Solve real queries
• Use migrations

NoSQL:

• When to use it
• Denormalization
• CAP basics

STEP 4: AUTH & SECURITY

• JWT, cookies, sessions
• Password hashing
• Access vs refresh tokens

Security:

• SQL Injection
• XSS
• CSRF
• IDOR

Ignore this → broken app.

STEP 5: PERFORMANCE

• Event loop
• Async vs blocking
• Worker threads

Caching:

• Redis
• TTL, invalidation

Slow backend = dead product

---

STEP 6: SCALING

• Horizontal scaling
• Load balancers
• Stateless services
• Queues

Patterns:

• Retry + backoff
• Circuit breaker
• Idempotency

STEP 7: QUEUES

• Kafka / RabbitMQ

Use for:

• Emails
• Payments
• Background jobs

---

STEP 8: TESTING

• Unit, integration, E2E
• CI pipelines

No tests = guessing

---

STEP 9: DEVOPS

• Docker
• CI/CD
• Logging + monitoring

If it breaks and you can’t debug → you’re stuck

STEP 10: SYSTEM DESIGN

Practice:

• URL shortener
• Instagram feed
• E-commerce

Think:
DB + Cache + Queue + Failures

There is an undated video of Delhi blasts accused Umar Nabi justifying suicide bombing as “martyrdom,” and that it’s “misunderstood.” Suicide is haram in Islam and the killing of innocents is a grave sin. Such acts are also against the law of the land. They are not “misunderstood” in any way. This is terrorism and nothing else.

During Operation Sindoor and Mahadev @AmitShah had assured Parliament that no local Kashmiri had joined terror groups in the last six months. Where did this group come from then? Who is accountable for the failure to detect this group?
