A late post for #PostboxSaturday, but on the day itself! Mothers Day art and craft in Leeds. Regrets that this drive-by photo was less than totally successful!
Voting in the #GE2024 with the help of this George V pillar box at the top of Greenwich Park that will no longer emptied at the end of the day. If you’re a fellow postal voter, make sure to return your slip asap so that your voice is heard. 💌🗳️

This gold George V pillar box outside Dartford Station does not commemorate a British Olympian or Paralympian. It’s one of 26 local post boxes waiting for Royal Mail to return them to red, following an illegal spree with a spray can. 💌

Happy #PostboxSaturday from this Victorian postbox. It’s hung out on this corner in all weathers for over a century witnessing both the arrival and closure of Catford Stadium aka ‘Catford Dogs’ home of the iconic South London greyhound racecourse (1932- 2003). 💌
The wee square in front of the Carfax Tower is always teeming with people so it’s hard to get a good pic. We were in Oxford late the other night so I was chuffed to get this shot of these British icons, the red postbox and red phonebox 😍📮☎️😍

Here's just a few examples of Royal Mail's decorated postboxes over the past decade or so. Typically one box is painted in each of the four UK nations. This year they are in London, Swansea, Belfast and Glasgow, and play a tune when you post a letter.
Merry Christmas weekend from this George V pillar box in Patcham, Brighton. I love the way the defunct bracket that once held a Post Office direction sign almost serves as a sleigh for Mr Claus. 💌🎅

Happy #PostboxSaturday from Warrington’s Grade II listed former Post Office, recently converted into apartments. It boasts an ERII double aperture pillar box AND a parcel box but my eye was drawn to the original slot for local mail, topped with an Art Nouveau Edward VII cypher.💌
