He is very likely dead or in a coma or so. cause if he was alive and functioning the islamic regime in tehran would have made sure he was seen at the funeral to project strength and defiance, inastead ofn ot hsowing up which could be seen as being afraid, weak.
Instead not even a voice recording has been heard of mojtaba. One or more factions within the regime likely has taken control and using the idea and so called statements of mojtaba to legitimise their rule. Remember the president Pezeshkian has requested multiple times to see or speak with Mojtaba but was denied. all red flags to me.
Dear @mdubowitz , you forget to mention;
- Slovenia is a new ally under their new pro israel pm
-Colombia will restore relations with israel as the new president elect is very pro israel
- Peru's new president Fujimori will continue pro israel policies
- Overal the south american bloc that is pro israel is gaining strength in numbers.
- Israel post earthquake disaster aid is opening doors with Venezuelan government who asked israel' s aid team to stay longer.
To just name a few, so Israel isnt doing too bad...
What is your take on this @elissa_hachem ? Van he and the government pull it of, despite some elements in the army and government who are pro hezbollah
As that Iranian ambassador is also still in Lebanon despite orders by the government for him to leave...
Hope this is true cause if it is, its huge for Lebanese sovereignty
Right on, a policy advisor tells politicans the truth, both the truth they want to hear, and the truth they don want to hear but need to hear. Our job is not to be cheerleaders.
It is why many of us have praised the efforts/pressure on NATO defense spending
but criticised the presidents approach to Ukraine and Russia
it is why we have applauded brokering ceasefires in many conflictzones
but criticised the lack of addressing root causes of those conflict. as i call it band aid diplomacy without dealing with the root causes.
@ScienceDJX yes and i can also understand it in cases where there is no affordable housing or for health reasons , an adult child still needs 24/7 care or temporary after a divorce or os f.i. but in general for most its healthy to stand on your own feet
@ScienceDJX Its in general healthy to live on your own after your student years, as you have take responsibility then for your own life, income, health, cooking, taxes, repairs etc. in short becoming an adult instead of living in hotel mom and dad
@saraalsaeed91 Agreed, an intellectually honest study of the past should study both the good and the bad and there is nothing wrong with keeping what is good from abroad. And apply critical thinking to everything from their own frameworks
Exactly, and now that Ukraine has real momentum on the ground through its drone dominance, and using it to target critical russian infrastructure and oil industry and isolating for instance the Crimea by hitting supplylines...
...Now is the time Nato members Us and Europe should increase military support, to maximise the opportunities this window offers and ramp up pressure that way on Russia.
time to climb the escalation ladder faster then russia does, to keep them on the defense.
As such windows of having a real advantage do not last long as we have seen in the ukriane war so far that each side adapts quickly to any edge the other develops, moves and ocunter moves foplow each other in rapid speed.
yes public solidarity is a must, and form both sides, as i have also seen some european leaders overreacting and milking tensions for domestic political gain.
And on Greenland, they have been in talks for months, from the get go the administration could have chosen to just approach Denmark and Greenland and say we would like to discuss some military matters and matters on critical resources and artic security. As those are very legit issues.
Then the atmosphere would have been quite different and Denmark and Greenland would likely have been more willing to be flexible on matters. But by his posturing he has also limited the political room for Danish political leaders to give much in these talks as public opinion now in Greenland and Denmark doesnt allow for big concessions.
Agreed Sara , it' s basically decolonising the mindset, as its often still very much influenced by colonial thinking, culture, curricula in academia.
Developing/rediscovering their own identity, social structures, history, and communal values
And developing a vision/policies through an african lens, not a colonial lens.
@vtchakarova yes, severe low birthrates > population decrease > population collapse > economic collapse...
pro family pro birth policies have limited effects and take very long real world examples show.
and most countries in the world already have birthrates below replacement levels....
💯 and I dont know, it seems they conduct diplomacy based on a world they would like it to be, not as it is.
And history teaches appeasement never works, why on earth would it work with irans regime who is smong the least rational regime, partly religious zealots who want an apocalypse to usher in the 12th imam.
Maybe we should start a course middle eastern diplomacy 1.01 😉
