For years I thought I wanted a #horse.
Then my nephew said “Then buy one.”
Simple. But I didn’t.
Maybe not because the #dream was fake,
because I didn't trust that I could make it real.
Some dreams stay safe because we never test them.
Others matter enough that we start anyway
A lot of #career#advice is just expectation dressed up as #strategy.
Natalie Morales said: “Everyone is living for the first time.”
Maybe the point is not to copy the “right” path.
Maybe the point is to build one that is actually yours.
#CareerGrowth#SelfLeadership
We often ask why women leave #tech.
But maybe we should ask why staying costs so much additional energy.
The energy of being taken seriously.
The energy of correcting assumptions.
The energy of proving the role was earned.
The energy of being read as technical again and again
A #founder thought he was bad at sales. So he tried to #hire people to take it over.
Later he realized:
He had not really tried to learn it. He had decided too early that he would be bad at it.
Sometimes “I’m not good at this” is not evidence, It's where we stopped learning.
Competing on price can feel rational in a difficult market.
But if the only way to win is to make the work cheaper, faster and less sustainable, the win becomes expensive.
Especially when those conditions become the new baseline.

Effort is a noisy signal.
Staying late can mean
commitment.
It can also mean
unclear priorities, fear, bad planning, or a system quietly outsourcing its problems to individuals.
Before praising effort,
ask what created the need for it.
#Teams thrive not on the smartest minds but on feeling valued.
☘️Acknowledge wins
☘️Give real feedback
☘️Show impact
Don’t let talent walk out because they feel ignored.
#Leadership#TeamMotivation
Sometimes, all you need is someone to listen.
I once presented my design to an architect,
he just nodded and said, 'Well done.'
When I asked if I missed anything, he said,
'No, you just needed someone to listen.'
He called it the 'teddy bear tactic.'
No fixing, just being there
Excelling at your #job is great, but beware of becoming too valuable.
If your team depends on you too much, you might get trapped
🎈no #promotions
🎈no new opportunities
The worst part?
You don’t see it coming until it’s too late.

🚀 Tech hiring in 2005 vs 2025:
2005: "Can you code? Great, you're hired!"
2025: "Welcome to interview round 7 of 12..."
We hire slow but fire fast. Where’s the fairness?🤔
🎯 Focus on what matters:
☘️ Problem-solving
☘️ Teamwork
Everything else? Noise.
#TechHiring#Layoffs
Tech #interviews today:
📌 7 rounds
📌 #LeetCode puzzles
📌 Culture fit assessments
📌 Executive presentations
🚀 But when #layoffs happen? Gone in a day.
#Hiring shouldn't be harder than keeping the job itself.
Stay strong, devs.
You got this! ☘️

#Freelancing = a one-person #business in a shark tank.
🦈 Want to survive?
☘️ Deliver results, clients pay for outcomes.
☘️ Communicate like your next gig depends on it.
☘️ Build relationships, who knows you matters.
☘️ Set boundaries. #Burnout ≠ #success.
Play the long game.
#Freelancing isn’t all sunshine & rainbows.
You get freedom, but also endless hustle.
Some #developer teams feel like:
🎈 Silent #competition, everyone wants to stand out.
🎈 Pressure never stops.
🎈 50 devs, 1 contract = hunger games.
Stay sharp.
Stay focused.

#freelance
'Low performers' - a dangerous label in #tech#layoffs.
When companies like #Meta use performance as layoff justification, we need to ask:
Is this about real #performance or politics?
☘️ Labels stigmatize careers
☘️ Fear kills innovation
Thoughts?
Imagine coding for an hour…
then deleting everything if it’s not done.
Sounds brutal, right? But a dev team did just that.
The goal?
☘️Let go of bad ideas.
☘️ Embrace simplicity.
☘️ Build better, faster.
Could you handle hitting delete to chase something better?
#Programming
Companies rushing back to the office wave the 'culture' flag, but is it really about culture or control?
True culture is built on trust, not surveillance.
Remote work didn't fail, our ability to adapt and trust did.
