There is a school on this street and children find it very difficult and unsafe to walk with shoes due to the stagnant water and mud. Kindly inspect and bring permanent solution for this issue @chennaicorp@sameerangs
Even light rain causes water stagnation on our street . The problem has become much worse after the recent sewage pipeline replacement works. Since roads are uneven the water gets stagnated permanently.
Argentina players starting fights as soon as the whistle blows, attacking Spanish players.
Nobody deserves to lose this World Cup more than Argentina. The dirtiest, nastiest team in the tournament. Pathetic.
Class from Spain, the whole world has been behind you 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
I started watching the final to see good football. I ended it, as did most of the world, almost praying that Spain would win. Anything else would have been a totally unfair result. Argentina were a disgrace last night. They let the game down. #WorldCup
The figures are mind boggling. What would they do with so much of loot? If even 10% of this is true that party must be kept away from power for at least a decade.
This might ruffle some feathers, but we need to have a real conversation about Tamil Nadu politics if we want to see a healthy democracy thrive for the future of the State. Looking back over the last thirty years, the absolute peak of the DMK Government was undoubtedly from 1996 to 2001. It was arguably the most progressive administration the State has seen, responsible for driving the vast majority of almost all development projects.
While things started sliding between 2006 and 2011 for various reasons, it was after 2011 that the political landscape fundamentally shifted. That is when the concept of the "Party Fund" stopped being a mere side issue and turned into a finely oiled, completely institutionalized machine. Every government department was integrated into it, and the entire State knew it. Every contractor, institution, officer, and desk became a gear in that machine, meaning that everyday procedures directly affecting common citizens like land registration, building approvals, or vehicle registration, required a payout just to get a signature moving. All IAS officers were part of this machine and they stuck to the published RATE CARD for the work they were already paid to do.
To understand how deeply entrenched this became, think of it like an everyday highway toll booth. Historically, you paid a toll to build and maintain a specific road, but once you passed it, you drove freely. Under this systemized structure, it is as if toll booths were suddenly placed at the end of your own driveway, outside your local grocery store, and at every single intersection. You aren't paying a fee for a special project anymore; you are paying a mandatory tax just to move a few feet on a road you already own. This is a massive departure from how things used to be.
Historically, leaders like Anna, Kamaraj, MGR, and Kalaignar took party funds through open, public disclosures, and that money was strictly utilized for the party organization, its cadres, or public welfare.
Everything changed after 2011 when it became an automated, everyday administrative reality.
To be fair, MK Stalin took office with the best intentions and worked incredibly hard, but the party fund system didn’t disappear, and nothing was done to dismantle it.
Because it was already so deeply institutionalized, every individual embedded in that cycle had already become a direct beneficiary of the system, making it nearly impossible to unwind.
Now, all eyes are on TVK to see if they will follow this same path. So far, there haven't been any such instances, at least I haven’t heard of any mostly because if they stumble early on, the party will be finished before it even starts.
While it is still far too early to make a definitive call on what they will do, let’s at least be honest with ourselves and not sit here pretending this deeply entrenched system of PARTY FUNDS didn't exist in the first place.
Regardless of whose supporter you are, you know the truth deep down. Simply acknowledge it for the sake of your children, your grandchildren, and the future of Tamil Nadu, rather than pretending it is all just a lie and a figment of an imagination.
Leading a CBSE school for close to 10 years has shown me just how painful it can be to deal with the government machinery.
There are days when you come very close to giving up; not because running a school is difficult, but because you're exhausted from constantly having to give. Even greed should have a ceiling. There has to be a point where they should just live & let live.
Every approval (fire, safety, kitchen, hostel, or any other clearance) seems to come with an expectation of money. Every government meeting happening in the proximity of our school, we are not requested but demanded to provide money, school vans, staff, and other resources.
An example: the FIDE Chess Olympiad in Chennai in 2022. We were instructed to provide a couple of our school vans for advertisement. Huge posters featuring our Chief Minister and the Chess Olympiad branding were put up on our SCHOOL vehicles. A month after the event, when we requested that they be removed, we were told either to leave them as they were or remove them at our own expense (which was not cheap).
What disturbed me even more was hearing government officials openly say that corruption has always existed in TN, but under the current government, they no longer have to hide it or fear getting caught. Those words came from their own mouths.
I'm neither for nor against any political party. But when you endure one blow after another for years, it's only natural to feel relieved, and even celebrate, when the wind changes direction & you finally sense the possibility of a fresh breeze.
The organic Gen Z volunteers who stood with TVK earned positions as MLAs and Ministers through their work..
Those who attended the so called DMK GenZ meet today will mostly remain spectators in the same old hierarchy , unless they have a political background ..
TVK's movement created / will keep creating leaders..
DMK manufactures slaves , or in their sland .. KOTHADIMAIS !

Royal Enfield is the pride of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
But the last industry minister TRB Raja pushed Tamil Nadu into the deepest pit; we lost 17 billion rupees of industries to Andhra. 🤬
