The effects of fuel prices are far-reaching beyond the pump.
For Nigerians, it can affect food prices, small businesses, electricity supply costs, deliveries, and household budgets.
So what would it take to bring down the cost of fuel?
Reset Nigeria.

School abductions have shown that insecurity can reach communities far beyond the places where it was once concentrated.
The May 2026 attack on schools in Oriire, Oyo State, brought that reality into sharp focus. The victims were eventually rescued, but the incident raised a larger question about how threats are detected, prevented and responded to.
In his 2023 inaugural address, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said security would be the top priority of his administration and promised to reform Nigeria’s security architecture.
So what would a Makinde–Daura administration do differently?
How would it strengthen threat detection and prevention?
What would change in the security architecture?
Who would be responsible if it fails?
The Security Reset. Coming soon.

Comparing the price of petrol in Nigeria with those of other countries without considering the difference in minimum wages only gives an incomplete picture of affordability.
That Nigerians pay a lower nominal fuel price does not automatically mean they have it easier. The real conversation is the price relative to people’s income and purchasing power.
That is why Nigeria’s economic conversation must go beyond the price at the pump.
It must also ask what Nigerians can actually afford.

Petrol subsidy was removed and Nigerians are paying the price.
1,220 days later, ask yourself: what have you actually gotten in return?
Reform must be measured by what citizens get back, not just what the government saves.
We must RESET the narrative.
