Opus 4.8 feels like a downgrade. It lies a lot more, conforms a lot more, and overall just tries to please a lot. Just doesn't feel honest and a little too woke as well.
Fantastic crowd and demos at #MumbaiTechWeek! Incase you missed it, sharing Urban Company's demos here. Here is Demo 1 – "Our Voice AI orchestration in action".
This is a real call from production.
On the surface, what you hear is a smooth conversation — multilingual, dealing well with interruptions, real-time data pulls, low latency, natural filler words.
Behind this: a fully deployed ecosystem of 150+ AI agents, built and interacting with one another. Seamless switching between specialist agents. Two parallel calls in real time for the same issue. Shared context. Real actions.
All our CX and PX support goes through AI — 86% CX resolution, 55% PX resolution.
And as the solve has gotten genuinely better — trust is building. Always available. Deeply empathetic. Quick to act. For many, a better experience than before.

Demo 2 from #MumbaiTechWeek – "Bridging the tech literacy gap with Voice AI".
Context: an InstaHelp partner going for a job. She's new to the platform, new to our workflows, and isn't fully comfortable with smartphones.
Voice AI on the app guides her through everything — navigating to the customer's location, safety checks, selfie verification, OTP. She doesn't need to know which button to tap. She just speaks.
The best of both worlds — structured app flows, visuals, phone sensors and hardware — combined with voice to understand intent and take action. A much better and more seamless solve for accessibility.
Less time at training centres. Fewer calls to the partner helpline. More independence.
This is real. Deployed across categories where tech literacy is a barrier.

Demo 3 from #MumbaiTechWeek – "Subject Matter Expertise!"
We all use AI for exploration. But have you ever questioned if you can trust the accuracy and precision yet? Well. So have we wondered!
Here is an early demo, just starting to get rolled out.
For our Native Water Purifiers, we have fed in all the circuit diagrams, schematics and knowledge base to create AI bots that assist a partner with step-by-step diagnosis.
Think about what a technician faces on the job — dozens of device variants, each with different configurations. Complex SOPs. Edge cases that only a senior technician would recognise. When they're stuck, the options today are: call someone, check a manual, or guess.
This gives them a copilot. Real-time. On-site. Trained on the exact knowledge they need in that moment. A baby version of an Iron Man suit — enhancing skills, not replacing them.

Figma Make, now on your local code
In limited beta starting today, you can visually edit and ship changes by connecting Make to your codebase
At Figma, we use our products to design in every way: design layers, prototypes, and now, production code
No product can be high quality if engineering doesn't inherently care about quality.
This often stays ignored, and orgs keep trying to fix everything else around them.
I’ve stopped using all design tools outside of Claude, Claude Design, and ChatGPT.
Anything I need to think through visually starts there.
Not because craft doesn’t matter. But because thoughts move faster than layers, frames, tweaks, and manual alignment.
A lot of creative people don’t start up because they have always wanted to be founders. But because they get tired of convincing everyone.
Tired of having good intuition dismissed because there isn’t enough data yet.
Tired of being proven right after it is too late.
Sardar ji said –
“The AC gas is finished… it’ll cost ₹3000.”
He got really tense and called me –
“Yaar, the mechanic is asking for ₹3000… saying the gas is gone…”
I said –
“Just go yourself and stand there while he checks it.”
The mechanic turned on the AC…
the machine was choking
I softly said –
“Try changing the capacitor once…”
And honestly…
as soon as the capacitor was replaced
the AC started working perfectly
So basically… it wasn’t gas at all
just a faulty capacitor
A ₹3000 job…
got fixed in just ₹500
Girls Advice:
In summer, whenever you get your AC serviced
make sure you’re present there…
otherwise some people might overcharge you
Be honest…
has anything like this ever happened to you?
I’m thrilled to announce we’ve raised $44M to build a new home for product design. Meet @noondesign.
No workflow is more broken and fragmented in 2026 than the product designers’. The very same people who care most about building software don’t have software purpose built for them. @kushagrasinha7 and I have lived this problem first hand as designers ourselves.
That’s why we built Noon. The first product design tool that works entirely on your product code, so you can design not only how a product looks, but also how it works. With AI at its core that works in seconds, not minutes.
For the first time, you can create, iterate, build, test and ship. All in one canvas. No translations or roundtrips to the codebase and back.
Comment “Get Noon” and we’ll get you on the list for early access.
As AI makes execution and automation easier, original thinkers with creative ideas generation become more and more valuable.
Seeing this happen more and more around me.

A big mistake employed people do is filter knowledge consumption by relevance to their current jobs.
True leverage is when you are able to connect dots across industries, disciplines and ideas.
