This was something also covered at the Black Child and Clean Air conference in parliament. Learned alot about a variety of factors that contribute to infant mortality that isn’t necessarily known within obstetrics. Almost as though different specialisms haven’t come together to spot the patterns

I’m so sorry you’ve experienced this — it’s awful. No one should ever feel unsafe, stalked or harassed, whether for who they are or for something they’ve said. Disagreement is a normal part of life; this isn’t.

The reports rightly highlight toxic cultures inside hospitals, where staff can’t speak up without fear, and how that harms patient safety. What we rarely name is the same behaviour outside the hospital: retaliating against someone, or trying to end their career, not because they’ve personally been responsible for a number of preventable deaths, but because they raised a safety concern or said something others didn’t like.

We expect hospitals to do better. As a society, we’re often no better ourselves.

So glad you covered this!! Very glad actually. Fathers play a critical role in a mother and child’s life and it’s sad that during pregnancy and childbirth… fathers are excluded really. Really sorry about machines not working. Not acceptable and not clear how machines are allowed to be used when they’re not functioning and why there arent mechanisms in place to instantly fix or replace machines to ensure they can take care of the capacity they’re expected to. Puzzled about that one

Bullying is never acceptable. It’s sad that when Elon was a child, he didn’t have anyone to stop it, including his own father.

I wished we lived in a world where people couldn’t be bullied, full stop. But… that’s a pipe dream. What we can do however, is say or do something to stop it happening to the next person, child or adult. And not be one of those witnesses who does nothing and watches someone suffer as they keep being attacked physically and or emotionally.
