@NotEvolution1 1) Yes they have been observed
2) Information increasing:
- gene duplication + divergence
- frameshifts expanding proteins within a gene
- whole genome duplication from chromosome redundancies
These have all been observed
@HankDesmondPhD 10 million is quite modest as presidents go by the way. Biden is the least wealthy living former president.
Trump, by the way, is the wealthiest president. Where did his money come from?
@cavetothecross That's not "de-volution", that's not what "decay" means. Radioactive isotopes are naturally unstable, and they gradually transform into stable chemicals over time. We call this transformation decay because the unstable chemical disappears, but it is not devolution
@NotEvolution1 We can actually observe the *process* occurring now, calculate what would happen after 500, 5000, 5 million years, and then find that our calculations precisely correlate with preserved remains of animals dated to those times, geological changes, genetic changes, etc.
@NotEvolution1 We have never observed diamonds form in nature, therefore all diamonds must be manufactured! We have never observed oil form in nature, therefore oil must be pre-loaded into the ground.
@NotEvolution1 If by "kind" you mean a population group that becomes reproductively isolated such that it develops into a unique species that can no longer mate with other populations with common ancestors, this is in fact something we have observed happen.
@RockChartrand Yes, although I'd say this is more so a feature of authoritarianism. The same thing happened under the Nazis - all religions were persecuted except for the official Nazi brand of religion.
In our society, elites capitalize on competing religious identities to manipulate people
@RockChartrand We have plenty of supply, and we are more productive than ever before. Our lowest paid workers are not paid enough relative to what their companies produce, it's that simple. 50 years ago they were paid much more proportionally for *less* productivity. Failure of supply/demand.
