#WATCH | Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) Founder Abhijeet Dipke says, "A report concerning the Election Commission that surfaced yesterday proves that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar is the country's biggest traitor. He is the biggest anti-national in this country, and he should resign immediately... He poses the greatest threat to India's democracy... Ever since Gyanesh Kumar became Chief Election Commissioner, the government has been deciding who gets to vote and who doesn't. Is this democracy?... In total, more than 13 crore votes have been deleted. This is not a small number. In the 2024 Lok Sabha election, the margin between the opposition and the ruling party (NDA) was just 2%. Deleting 13 crore votes is equivalent to deleting roughly 13% to 14% of the total votes. Is Gyanesh Kumar deleting them intentionally to widen that 2% gap so that they never lose office? Why is this being done? What was the need to delete so many votes?..."
He adds, The BJP failed to secure a majority in the 2024 election. The panic button was pressed when they fell short of that majority... They realized then that the mood of the country was shifting and that regional forces were emerging very strongly, be it Uddhav Thackeray in Maharashtra, the NCP, Stalin, Pinarayi Vijayan, Arvind Kejriwal, or Mamata Banerjee. These chief ministers were targeted and defeated one by one. This cannot be a mere coincidence; there is a clear pattern... In West Bengal, 50,000 votes were deleted from Mamata Banerjee’s constituency, and she lost by a margin of around 15,000 votes. In MK Stalin’s constituency, 100,000 votes were deleted, and he lost by about 45,000 votes. In Delhi, 40,000 votes were deleted from Arvind Kejriwal’s constituency, and he lost by a margin of 4000-5000 votes. Pinarayi Vijayan would have won, but due to the deletion of votes in Kerala, he did not become the Chief Minister. Was this move designed solely to eliminate strong opposition figures? Now, we have no particular affinity for the opposition or any specific party. But in a democracy, if you wipe out the entire opposition, can it still be called a democracy? Is it a free and fair election?"
This is Bengaluru - two flyovers side by side (metro lines).
Considering that a few flyovers are coming up on Bhubaneswar’s Jaydev Vihar-Nandan Kanan Road, there is a scope for a metro line alongside them in the future.

"Vamos Argentina!"
"I wrote these words on July 21, two days after the final. Today, after what happened with my dad, I’m even more convinced of this decision than before.”
MMDR Law Controversy
If Odisha AG backed collection of mineral tax arrears to protect state finances in 2024, why is State govt now saying no revenue impact?
In a landmark 22-page judgment delivered on 25 July 2024, a nine-judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court, headed by then Chief Justice Dr Dhananjaya Y Chandrachud, upheld the power of states to levy tax on mineral-bearing land under Entries 49 and 50 of List II of the Seventh Schedule. The Court rejected the plea to give only prospective effect to its earlier decision in Mineral Area Development Authority (MADA).
The Bench on August 14, 2024, directed that while states may levy or renew tax demands in terms of the MADA ruling, such demands shall not apply to transactions prior to 1 April 2005.
Payment of the arrears has been staggered over 12 years beginning 1 April 2026. Interest and penalty on demands relating to the period before 25 July 2024 have been fully waived.
The judgment specifically records the submissions of Mr @AcharyaPitamba1 , Advocate General of the State of Orissa (Odisha), who "emphasized the importance of protecting the financial interests of States." The Court noted his arguments while dealing with the consequences of giving prospective effect to MADA and the need to safeguard state revenues.
The Bench observed that applying MADA only prospectively would create an unjust and discriminatory situation, particularly when states such as West Bengal (whose legislation was upheld in Kesoram Industries) and others had already been collecting the tax. It held that the doctrine of prospective overruling was not attracted in the present facts.
If the Advocate General of Odisha had strongly argued for the collection of arrears precisely to protect the financial interests of the states, questions are now being raised as to why the State Government is currently maintaining that the new MMDR law restricting the collection of arrears will have no impact on state revenue?
#WATCH | Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Secretary Anu Garg says, "Today the cabinet approved 10 proposals. The approval was for OSWAS 3.0... The idea is to have a paperless office. And through this, we are trying to take it right up to the block level so that not just state level and district level, but now up to block level, we will be paperless... It improves the accountability, transparency... Another is an amendment in the semiconductor manufacturing and fabless policy... A lot of investments are coming in. I think with these changes, we expect that some more will be coming out... Rationalization of wind power project allocation framework..." (12.08)
This startup from Bhubaneswar has been delivering fresh puja flowers in eco-friendly packaging to homes. I’ve been seeing their deliveries in our society for the last 3-4 years.
As Indian cities grow vertically and homes have less space for individual gardens, the demand for such services will only increase.
If they can reach 1 crore customers across India over the next 10 years and earn just ₹5 profit per packet per day, that’s a business generating around ₹1,800 crore in annual profit!!
Simple idea. Massive opportunity.
Power cuts in Bhubaneswar feel like YouTube ads now.
Frequent, unwanted, and impossible to skip. Only difference: YouTube at least tells you when the ad ends.
Dear Odisha Govt, when will this darkness end?

In healthcare, success is not always measured by how many lives are cured. Sometimes, it is measured by how many people are helped to spend their last days with dignity, comfort, and compassionate care.
Bhubaneswar-based Bagchi Karunashraya Palliative Care Centre is one of the very few facilities in India providing free end-of-life cancer care.
In just over a year since its inauguration, it has cared for 1,220 hospice patients, made more than 8,500 home visits, and served 675 patients through its OPD.
A remarkable example of humanity in action 🙏🏼

🚨AIADMK leaders, before shaking hands with DMK for power, remember March 25, 1989!
In the TN Assembly, right in front of CM Karunanidhi, your Amma Jayalalithaa was humiliated-her saree pulled and torn by DMK goons. She walked out in tears, vowing to return only as CM.
Today you betray her legacy for chairs? Shame! Amma's soul weeps at this betrayal.
