@yashar "The United Kingdom has endlessly appeased the criminal regime in Iran."
I wonder if he's including when they put his dad in place of Mossadegh 🤔
This is the message of a coward. This is the speech of someone who proclaims to be the voice of the suffering and innocent. Yet when his people are indiscriminately threatened, he is too afraid to speak against threats of genocide.
He was never a king; he is pathetic.
To the Armed Forces of Iran:
You are the heirs to the legacy of the patriotic and honorable commanders of this land—from Ariobarzanes, Bahram Chobin, and Surena, to Babak Khorramdin, Ya'qub Leyth, and Mazyar, to Jahanbani, Khosrowdad, and Rahimi.
How can you remain silent and inactive in the face of the brazen presence and boasts of foreign agents and criminals affiliated with the Islamic Republic in the streets of Iran—from Hashd al-Shaabi and Hezbollah of Lebanon, to Afghan and Pakistani terrorists?
Before your very eyes, the Islamic Republic and its terrorist, repressive IRGC have slaughtered tens of thousands of the purest and bravest sons and daughters of this country, and each day send more to their deaths. These occupiers of Iran’s soil, driven by a destructive and apocalyptic madness, have brought the country to the brink of ruin.
How have you closed your eyes to these realities and withdrawn from your duty to defend the nation and the people? How will history—and future generations of Iran—judge you?
Remember your national and patriotic oath and commitment. Step forward. Defend the honor and credibility of Iran’s national army against the Islamic Republic and its foreign mercenaries.
And to you, the great nation of Iran: with a loud voice, demand that the army fulfill its national role. Call on them to carry out their duty to the homeland and the people. Before it is too late, stand together with the nation and save Iran.
Long live Iran,
Reza Pahlavi

The Omanis are famously cautious. The Omani FM going on CBS to reveal what has actually been achieved in the negotiations is quite unprecedented. And what has been achieved is significant - Trump can indeed declare victory. Listen to this segment - it goes way beyond what Obama achieved.
But everything indicates that Trump won't take yes for an answer. That he will start a war of choice very soon.
Which is probably why the Omani FM decided to go public.
So that the American people knew that peace was within reach when Trump instead opted for war.
Instagram has “permanently disabled” the account of Tehran-based independent essayist and documentary photographer Kaveh Rostamkhani, days after he spoke to Drop Site News about the protests, riots, and violence he witnessed in Tehran, and just one day after he published an op-ed with Al Jazeera on disputed death tolls tied to Iran’s January unrest.
In his op-ed for Al Jazeera on January 31, Rostamkhani warned that unverified casualty figures were being used to “manufacture global consent for an attack on Iran” while helping to “downplay the official death toll of the genocide in Gaza.” He described the rush to circulate extreme figures as a “Death Toll Olympics.”
Following the op-ed, Rostamkhani was publicly attacked online by prominent commentators aligned with regime-change advocacy. Bozorgmehr Sharafedin, head of digital at Iran International, a widely watched pro-Israel, pro-monarchist Farsi-language diaspora news outlet, wrote that Rostamkhani “casts doubt on ALL REPORTS” documenting deaths in Iran and accused him of dismissing reporting by major outlets, mischaracterizing his arguments. In the Al Jazeera essay, Rostamkhani wrote instead that “it is undeniable that thousands have been killed in Iran,” while emphasizing the need for rigorous verification of casualty figures.
Rostamkhani told Drop Site News that “there have been numerous fake accounts/bots attacking me ad hominem,” adding that “beside numerous threats of sexualized violence by anonymous accounts, there has also been a threat to defile my late mother’s grave.” He said Sharafedin’s post and separate Instagram posts tagging him “unleashed an orchestrated digital attack.”
The same day, Instagram notified Rostamkhani that his account had been suspended for allegedly violating community standards. He filed an appeal, and on February 1, Instagram informed him the appeal had been rejected and that his account was “permanently disabled.” The notice did not cite any specific post or identify the alleged violation. Drop Site has reached out to Meta for comment.

Mehdi Mahmoudian, the co-writer of Jafar Panahi’s Oscar-nominated political drama “It Was Just An Accident,” was arrested in Tehran on Saturday after endorsing a statement denouncing the actions of Ali Khamenei, the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran. https://t.co/fwHAQgriPr
Iranians didn’t protest for Trump. They protested for dignity and change.
Yet Trump encouraged escalation—urging them to “take institutions” and risk bullets, promising “help is on the way.”
Today, there’s no mention of the thousands of dead.
Only war threats and ultimatums about “NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS.”
For him—and many other external actors—Iranian lives are just leverage: to be used, then discarded, when opportune and as cynical self-interest demands.
However this situation proceeds, it's a movie we’ve seen many times.
Libya was “Responsibility to Protect.”
Fifteen years later: civil war, fragmentation, chaos—and no one cares. Certainly none of the people who launched the military intervention in the first place.
Syria was also exploited by a parade of cynical actors.
Now some of the same forces (Israel & its allies in the US) push fragmentation post-Assad, while Trump courts the new power brokers in Damascus and is totally indifferent to who gets trampled, such as the Kurds.
None of this comes from solidarity.
It is the logic of self-interested power, where human lives matter only insofar as they can be leveraged.
Ethics, morality and ideas of the "common good" are not at all the priority.
