@MartinSLewis Why don’t smart meters work country wide. We would like to use/have a smart meter to have better control of our electricity but we are told there is no plans to fix situation where we live in north of England
The general idea of a UK Digital ID card, but given the UK government ability to cock up major IT projects, one would like to see something “simpler” attempted, e.g. digital UK Driving Licences or digital National Insurance cards. #ukdigitalid
@LNER The times are there but there are not train numbers to make it clear which train I need to catch as I will be getting off at an intermediate stop not the trains final destination.
Ok @LNER I have spent a week travelling around Europe on trains and it has been very helpful to have train numbers on my tickets and station departure boards, meaning I got on the correct train. Why not here?
@arthistorynews Harry and his wife chose to live a private life in the USA. Leave them to have the life they chose and let the rest of us alone to sort out our own country and its many issues. Harry lost a court case yesterday , report it of course at the bottom of a page column and move on.
A short while ago I posted a video of a red squirrel on a feeder in our garden. Yesterday afternoon I moved it and the camera that watches it. Very pleased with the results as the feeder was visited this morning by a red squirrel. #redsquirrel
@ColinSpenc4257 I remember them all, including small bottles of milk at school and when your small child served as the tv remote control, for only two and then three channels
https://t.co/Cja36rgRDm I am all for reducing taxes where possible. However I would rather our public services of all types worked and were properly funded.

@nationaltrust Some fantastic art was created at @WallingtonNt from a couple of trees that fell in a recent storm. Maybe something similar, perhaps illustrating the area’s history and then reinstalled near the gap
@VolvoCarUK The delay is caused because @VolvoCarUK had not issued the correct paper work in a timely manner and therefore the dealer can’t release the car on the date agreed.
Very disappointed in @VolvoCarUK Was meant to be collecting new car from a Volvo dealer tomorrow but dealer tells me you have failed to process the paperwork in a timely manner. Dealer has been good but not impressed by @volvocars
Have been trying out some new ideas for dynamic islands in #xcode with #activitykit and #reactnative for possible use in next years conference attendee apps. Now time for some blue sky thinking about the possibilities.
@ElaineCox11 We also live in #Northumberland next to the North Tyne river, we have what seems like our ‘normal’ amount of flys, bees and wasps. The swallows/swifts that live in the nearby farm buildings have returned and can be seen hunting on the wing.
@SamRaincock We live up near Falstone/Kielder Water and the sound of motorbikes travelling very fast has been very evident this morning. Sounds like racing bikes at a racing track. Then we got the sirens of ambulances and police!
@MartinSLewis Unfortunately we live in an area of the country where smart meter’s don’t work - there is no infrastructure to transmit the data to the power company. Also we can only use electricity as there are no gas mains, so we don’t appear to get any benefit of a dual fuel discount
