Today, the United States launched a trade war against Canada: their closest partner and ally — their closest friend.
Canadians are reasonable, but we will not back down from a fight.
Not when our country is at stake.
Having watched that today, I can only say one thing:
Let’s all get behind @ZelenskyyUa 💯 ✊🏻
People whose countries haven’t recently experienced the trauma of invasion should not bully nor lecture those who have.
Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦
@jonsopel Looks like they brought the man there to publicly lick their arseholes and he didn't comply. They're a fucking disgrace and it's time to stop pussyfooting around this pair of egotistical wankers.
@ZelenskyyUa@POTUS You truly represent the spirit and courage of the Ukrainian people @ZelenskyyUa I firmly believe the rest of the world will stand with you. My family and I most definitely and unwaveringly do offer whatever support we can
Trump berates Zelensky, the leader of a democratic country courageously fighting Russian imperialism, while he allies himself with Putin, a dictator who started the bloodiest European war in 80 years.
Sorry, President Trump. We believe in democracy, not authoritarianism.
Your dignity honors the bravery of the Ukrainian people.
Be strong, be brave, be fearless.
You are never alone, dear President @ZelenskyyUa.
We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace.
It would’ve been a show of strength for the President of the United States to bring the elected leader of Ukraine to the Oval Office and engage with him in a dignified way.
But you would never know that after President Trump’s shameful display. Putin must be overjoyed with today’s theatrics.
Following the U.S. vote in alignment with Russia at the United Nations this week, a disturbing pattern has emerged that is contrary to America’s longstanding support of democracy around the world.
@BBCSport so why we paying an annual license? For the Paris Olympics, I’d have preferred to have given my own commentary -
rather than nonsensical commentary from the BBC…
@BBCSport your commentary of the Olympics Opening Ceremony is embarrassing……. Far from making the ceremony a celebration of all diversity…. the commentary has pointed out origins of colonialism, empires, sexuality, etc. How disappointing. I’m embarrassed….
