I just had the most surreal experience. I met ELON!!!!

Yesterday morning while walking through @Harvard I bumped into @elonmusk. and we had a brief chat about the future of Humanity, AGI, his plans for @X, and AI Safety. At the end, he was kind enough to snap a quick photo.

Sound a little too good to be true? That's because it is.

This image wasn't captured with a camera; it was generated by @GoogleDeepMind's new 'Nano Banana' model in less than 15 seconds.

I've been working with AI image tools for a while, but the speed and realism have reached a new turning point.

I sent this image to 10 Harvard Computer Science students. None of them could tell it was fabricated. This is not “the general public”

The important truth is that this is the worst models are gonna ever be.

The barrier to fabricating a believable reality is now effectively zero and the world is not ready for this.
