@maksterTsla @chosenone45_ @JimCosta_ Mays, Wonnom, Bartsch, McCreary, Izien, Clark, Borom, Dortch, Scruggs, Pacheco, Turner, and White. That’s 12 guys in the two deep. Two for sure starters, and with the safety injuries, perhaps four starters at least for a while. That’s not nothing.

@JaredGoofff @jonmorosi @MLB Obviously right now Skubal is worth it when healthy. But he’s also 30 and the chances he’s done with major injuries seem fairly small. Which he knows too which is why he wants the long term contract.

@JaredGoofff @jonmorosi @MLB There’s a significant difference between 2 yr/$37M per versus $40M+ over 8-10 years which is what Skubal wants. Committing that kind of money to a guy who has already had multiple significant injuries is not something a mid market team should ever do. We saw that with Cabrera.

@JaredGoofff @jonmorosi @MLB They’ll certainly be free to sign Mize in the offseason just like they would have been before trading him. I agree the bullpen is a disaster. One that will keep them from competing for anything meaningful this year. So add a piece to the farm and rebuild the pen this winter.

@Torkelson_20 @nah2friedd @MattDeBlasi @tigersslab 100%. Even with skubal most teams are still likely to be underdogs to Dodgers in a best of 7. Why would smaller market teams trade their future controllable young blue chip prospects with a lockout looming?

@MattDeBlasi They got two top 100 prospects including the 25th overall. Thats not weak. They’ll be #1 and #3 in the tigers prospect rankings (and the third will be #10). The fact the dodgers have a deep farm doesn’t change the fact the tigers got a lot of minor league talent back for a rental

@MattDeBlasi But that doesn’t, and shouldn’t, impact the return the Tigers get? That’s the dodgers paying for future play from him. He was always likely to sign with them because they will pay more than any other org. They could have waited two months to do that without trading prospects.

@Alex_Drain Every year the trade deadline happens and people act like they’ve never seen a trade deadline before.

Hope is hitting .293 with 23 HR/18 SB and a .899 OPS but people are hung up on him being ranked 5th in the dodgers org for some reason. Though he’d be 1st for like 20 teams

@MattDeBlasi @tigersslab He’s 25th in the top 100. He’d be the #1 or #2 prospect for all but 2 other teams. Individual team farm rankings are irrelevant.

@bythewaybro Skubal was going to start 8-9 more times this season (if healthy). The return is solid.
