If you aren't aware of what's going on right now, let me break it down for you. Jews worldwide are being hunted down and killed. It's only day three of Hanukkah, and already we've seen:

1. Jews murdered by a jihadi father-son duo in Australia that seriously wounded many people, including my friend @Ostrov_A (thinking of you, brother).

2. Students at @BrownUniversity were murdered in a class being taught by Rachel Friedberg, a Jewish professor who leads the school's Judaic Studies program.

3. A Jewish professor of nuclear physics at M.I.T. was murdered in his home today.

4. Orthodox Jews in New York were violently assaulted on the subway.

5. Violent Palestinian protestors disrupted a peaceful Hanukkah celebration in Amsterdam. Dozens were arrested after police had to physically surround families celebrating the holiday to protect them.

6. A Jewish family in California had their home hit by gunfire because they had Hanukkah decorations up. One of the criminals shouted, "Free Palestine."

7. An Islamic terrorist attack has been foiled in Poland at a Christmas market.

8. An Islamic terrorist attack has been foiled in Germany at a Christmas market.

9. A Palestinian terrorist attack was foiled in California.

10. France has cancelled its NYE celebrations because of the terrorist threat level.

11. Canada's Integrated Terrorism Assessment Centre has said that a terrorist attack in Canada is now "a realistic possibility."

I've been studying terrorism for 20 years, and I've never seen things this bad. The West is under attack – full stop. The question now is, what the hell are we going to do about it?

Because the Islamist Iranian government and religious leadership has (for 40 years) called for the total destruction of the US, the West and Israel. It seeks nuclear weapons so it can use them in a preemptive attack on other countries, and would not only use them against Israel in a first strike, but its Arab neighbours in a war. Its leadership is funding and supporting terrorist groups all over the world, not just the Middle East. It has no respect for international law, human rights or the norms of war. If it had them the whole world would be in danger from either a sneaky (terrorists and deniable) or blatant nuclear attack.

Israel on the other hand has had nuclear weapons for decades, and despite multiple military and terrorist attacks against its people and tiny homeland has not used or even threatened to use its nuclear bombs. Nor has it called for the total destruction of any other nation; not once. Its nuclear weapons are reserved as a last-ditch defence in the event of an existential threat to its people, be that nuclear, biological, chemical or genocidal.

If you don’t know this, it’s because you haven’t availed yourself of the vast amounts of publicly available knowledge, history and statements from all parties in the matter. That’s not just ‘a bit ignorant’, but well done for asking the question.

Jews in America—you should be scared. And, yes, even to the Jews who have moved down to Florida.

I don’t say that lightly. I don’t say it to panic you. I say it because it’s true.

Kanye West, one of the most influential cultural icons in America today, just dropped a song with the chorus, and I quote, “Ni*gga, Heil Hitler” repeated over and over again. Yes, you read that correctly. A glorification of Hitler—mixed with the language of the streets, piped directly into the ears of millions of young Americans.

And if that wasn’t sickening enough, he ends the song with an actual Adolf Hitler speech in the background of the music.

This isn’t just Jew-hating antisemitism, this is a cultural bomb, normalizing genocidal hate speech against Jews, dressed up as “music,” and blasted across platforms with barely a whisper of pushback so far from the music industry.

Imagine the outrage if another artist repeated the N-word with a white supremacist chant. But when it's about Jews? Silence. Or worse—applause.

Let me be clear: I don’t want Jews fleeing America in fear. I want Jews coming home to Israel out of Jewish pride, a deep sense of faith in Hashem, and a sense of purpose, because Israel is our homeland, our story, and the future of our children. I want aliyah to Israel to be a calling, a fulfillment of a dream of our ancestors for thousands of years finally coming to fruition, not an escape.

But to ignore the growing Jew-hatred around you is to walk blindly into danger. The ground is shifting, and fast.

From college campuses where Jewish students are terrorized by Hamas-supporting mobs, to progressive movements that justify terror and demonize Israel, to celebrities like Kanye who spread raw Jew-hatred, now in music, with impunity, the picture could not be any clearer. How many signs does Hashem have to give us to wake up to the new reality.

Nobody should still cling to the fantasy that America is safe for Jews forever—wake up. Times have changed, and they are just going to get worse.
