Another picture of one of the three James brothers - again William, in 1915 a Staff Sergeant, practising rifle shooting in Egypt before going onto Gallipoli, where he won the MC with the 1st ALH. He was born in Australia but his brothers were born in Wales.

@DavidRomeiPHD Actually you are quite wrong. 78 British generals were killed during WW1 and 146 wounded, many seriously. A pity these myths are still perpetuated. Check out Bloody Red Tabs by davies and Maddocks
