@Christia_Allard @Nephropseu @sff_uk How will there be labour problems? The EU dictated we use EU labour. The poor people from the Philippines could no longer be employed in the fish factories. There are many other countries apart from EU ones who would glad if there was work for their nationals!

@Christia_Allard @Nephropseu @sff_uk Because of lockdown. Every car manufacturer is the same. Please don’t try to manipulate everything. The EU would have problems not being supplied with the product they have relied on and they should be supplied by UK vessels if caught in UK waters.

@Christia_Allard @Nephropseu @sff_uk People buy what they want. Cheaper inferior product will not significantly alter the demand for a quality product. Very few would buy a cheaper but vastly inferior car to the one you already have. Most people eating UK lobster will therefore still remain eating it.

@Christia_Allard @Nephropseu @sff_uk What’s a European lobster. There is little logic in what you said. The Japanese have a mackerel fishery. They also buy North Sea mackerel if the buyer requires a product with more oil. The people will pay for the quality they want. Cheaper is not best.

@Nephropseu @jrclarkbf800 @nereus172 ICES recommendations was for a 36% reduction for herring this year. Now they are recommending an increase of 38.4% for 2020. Looks like you shouldn’t rely on everything you read!
