@Peter_Bukowski Yes indeed you’ve made this case very well, it’s the fans who want to blame LaFleur for the majority of that collapse and I just don’t see it that way. If Zach Tom was healthy, Morgan would have started that game at LT or at least come in very early on. Who knows where we’d be
@Peter_Bukowski It’s truly not talked enough in Packers fandom, about how bad Rasheed played last year. It’s obviously reflected in the contract he got, but you could make a case he’s the reason we lost that playoff game.
when trailing in the second half since 2024...
...out of 49 QBs, Jordan Love has ranked:
#2 in EPA/att (+0.36)
#2 in YPA (8.7)
#2 first down rate (40%)
#8 in success rate (50%)
#6 in TD:INT ratio (12:3)
He pushes the ball downfield (#10 air yards) without creating negative plays:
- #1 lowest sack + INT rate (3.9%)
- #1 lowest pressure to sack rate (6.7%)
@Peter_Bukowski@lockedonpackers Vibes Peter, just vibes… if the criticism is he never wins in the playoffs, by that logic only 8 coaches or so should keep their jobs every year. It’s just so lazy
@TylerDBrooke I'm stunned there are that many idiot Packer fans out there. Obviously you expect it from opponents fan bases but Packer fans is surprising. This is a VERY good deal for GB
YES! I figured this would get done, but it's a great deal for both side. The guaranteed money is what makes this so great, with Watson's injury history it gives the Packers a bit more security. I have to imagine this was the specific thing that's held the deal up. Glad it's done!
ESPN sources: Green Bay WR Christian Watson and the Packers reached agreement today on a four-year, $110.5 million contract extension that includes a $31 million signing bonus.
Ollie Connolly, who was plugged in with Jonathan Greenard trade to Eagles, says Josh Sweat will be traded today.
It will either be to the Packers or Eagles.
Other reports indicate Cowboys showed interest but were turned away.
#Eagles
This isn't going to get as much air as the Micah trade (obviously) but I can't stress enough how much of an improvement this is over Gary last year if this trade goes through. Sweat, LVN, Wyatt, Hargrave, a jump from Sorrell, contributions from the rookies too? Could be insane
Hearing the Packers and Cardinals are working on a trade involving Josh Sweat, per source. It is coming down to how much cap the Packers are willing to take, and how high of a pick.
@Peter_Bukowski Yeah this would be a total no brainer. 10 million on the cap this year, not an issue at all. Even at 18 million next year, if things work out with LVN and he takes a step, you move on from Sweat. If he doesn't and they don't resign LVN, I don't hate that price for Sweat next year
