This is a desperate long shot, but I have to try. I seldom, if ever tweet about my personal IRL affairs, but *any* info will be helpful.

I'm searching for a doctor experienced with Pudendal Neuralgia that can perform a diagnostic nerve block to enable pursuing surgical remedies. My mom won't be able to survive this condition for much longer, and her US health insurance is not covering it.

We are exploring medical tourism options in Mexico, Canada, and basically anywhere where paying out of pocket for this is remotely affordable. If you have any connections that can help arrange care quickly, I will be eternally grateful.

As we have been told, no doctor will perform these surgeries without a positive response from a diagnostic Pudendal nerve block. Insurance won't cover surgeries either without the block, while also covering everything but the drugs used in the needle administering the block. Even when told we will bear the costs by self paying, they then refuse to perform the procedure anyways. For some reason, two different local hospitals have denied the procedure, even when we've offered to self pay. I do not know why.

Out of pocket costs in the US are expected to exceed $8000, likely much higher as the American healthcare system seems completely incapable of producing a concrete estimate for us, always saying that the actual cost will vary (and I am interpreting this to mean it will be much higher than any numbers they reluctantly have given). $8000+ for a CT-guided injection.

I am not seeking financial help. I plan on using the money I've reserved to pay my taxes, and will figure out recouping it later. I am specifically looking for doctors familiar with this rare but extremely painful nerve condition that are also familiar with medical tourism, and can help us act quickly. If by some miracle a surgery can also be scheduled shortly after the block, we will pursue it. We are running out of time and I am fearful her next attempt will be successful...
