Where can Cardiff Welsh be heard today in contemporary Wales? Is it limited to the occasional evening show on Radio Cymru? Or when watching Gwennan Harries discussing the Welsh football teams on S4C? ✍️Dr Ianto Gruffydd

Guess what.
My first @guardian column is out!

Just in case you don't know, HS2's defined as a England & Wales project, despite being solely in...you know...England

Never heard this before. A glottal fricative produced for a uvular/velar fricative in a Welsh name. Commonly this is how English speakers produce them in Spanish words.
@JRKASSTAN Our attitudes project in Bangor looking at explicit to implicit measures of attitudes towards Welsh, Moselle-Franconian and Lombard will have publications for you to look out for soon with 3 manuscripts currently submitted/in review 🤞
I remember reading an article about a Rinkebysvenska-speaking news reporter/reader on Swedish TV a long time ago but I’m struggling to find it now. Hmu if you have a link or any knowledge of it.
