@PageauJonathan All truth is God's truth, but also these 2 statements are actually opposites. "As above, so below" is the antichrist version of "On Earth as it is in Heaven"
@micahtredding This assumes some sort of objective metric above God that God could be judged by, but since God is ultimate reality by definition there is nothing above God.
@PageauJonathan We only name nothing because we must face it and talk about it, but it properly should not have a name because it is no thing and naming it is dangerous. It is not good to identify something by what it is not. It is better to eat healthy than to not eat junk.
@PageauJonathan Another way at this is via the frame of naming. To name something is to wrap a word around a subset of multiplicity. Naming gives identity & existence by calling out to a unified purpose. All words indicate what they contain, except "nothing" indicates all that is not contained.
@sama You don’t have to use a moral framework to know that erotica/porn is bad for those that consume it and society as a whole. A civil or secular psychological framework is sufficient.
@xianityplus I get how bodies can extend thru buildings yet I also tend to think that Jesus’ body does not. I also would think that buildings are not necessary for the church’s mission.
