Insentos explains how he would trade with only $1K in his portfolio
"If I had a $1,000 port, I wouldn't trade at all. I'd just study and wait for that almost PVE, kind of guaranteed play"
"The last thing you want to do is get zeroed out and not be able to trade. If I'm a new trader with $1,000, I'm just waiting for a PVE narrative and studying every single day"
"There's always going to be another Ansem coin, another PVE narrative that's kind of guaranteed to go up"
It’s been an interesting month.
I’ve left almost every TG and Discord server I was in, including insider and dev groups.
The reason is simple: I want to become highly profitable without relying on any “free tools.”
Anyone can make money with a good TG group, a solid wallet tracker and alpha being fed to them. But when I look at the people who perform at the highest level consistently, day after day, week after week, the common denominator is that they have incredibly strong foundations.
They don’t need to be spoon fed opportunities. They understand the game well enough to find them themselves.
It’s certainly the harder path, and honestly, it wasn’t necessary for me to take it. I was already making more than enough from memecoins to live comfortably.
But my dream is bigger than being comfortable.
I want to become the first multi-millionaire in my family. I want to retire my parents and siblings.
This is shaping up to be my first unprofitable month of the entire year.
Going from consistently making money to deliberately stripping away the things that helped me make it has been an insane mental game. There have been plenty of moments where I’ve questioned whether I’m doing the right thing.
But I’d rather sacrifice a month or two rebuilding my foundations than spend years wondering how good I could have become if I did.
The harder path isn’t always necessary, but sometimes you choose it because the person waiting for you at the end of it is worth becoming.
You are not a KOL, so stop trading like you have an army of people waiting to pump your bags the second you buy.
You don’t have copytraders watching your wallet and creating volume after every entry. Don’t get fooled by all these dudes posting screenshots saying they made $30K in a day. Half the time they’re buying at a $3K market cap, selling at a $4K market cap, and repeating it 500 times while everyone watching thinks they can replicate the same results.
You see people up millions of dollars and start thinking this market is easy. It isn’t. There’s a reason so few people ever get into that position in the first place. There will be bad days and there will be incredible days. The biggest skill you can develop is knowing the difference.
The best way to think about this market is poker. You do not play every hand. You train yourself to be patient and wait until the odds are actually in your favor. You don’t need to buy every garbage derivative that launches and convince yourself it’s going to make you rich.
When the market is bad, you can usually feel it. Nothing is running. Coins struggle to reach millions. Volume dries up. Everyone is just recycling the same money back and forth. A few days ago, $PAID launched and hit $16M+ market cap in under a day. Once something starts moving like that, it isn’t just copytraders blindly buying after a KOL anymore. New money is flowing into the market, attention is increasing, and people are willing to take more risk.
Those are the days you need to pay attention.
Big runners create volume. Big runners bring people back. Big runners create opportunities across the entire market.
When there are no big runners, you’re basically sitting at a poker table against KOLs with better information, more followers, more liquidity, and hundreds of people ready to buy after them.
And if you keep forcing trades into that environment, they will rinse you for every penny you have.
day 4: 11.5 sol ($1,160), 7 hours total.
was inconsistently trading and forgot to record almost half the day but here’s a lil clip and EOD pnl. j woke up to trade eu, gonna lock in and tmr’s vid gon be better🤞🏽
it's crazy how trading, looksmaxxing, gambling are all perceived solutions to the same problem.
when your human capital feels worthless, the rational move is convexity: take egregious risk in whatever market you can access, and hope the payoff is big enough to matter in an AI economy.
no capital for the financial lottery? your face is the other asset you can lever. "ascending" is the same trade in a different market.
it's all one lottery economy. and the house always keeps the best seat:
gigalong prediction markets, perps exchanges, anything selling the tickets
Trading will be the single fastest growing industry over the rest of this decade. People feel like they are running out of options to change their financial situation.
use whatever the fuck you have. looks, genetics, talent, connections, money, all of it.
there's nothing noble about choosing the hardest path just to feel like an underdog.
i swear if you journaled every trade and wrote about every runner for 30 days you'd have a decent feel for the market, even starting out as a complete beginner in memecoins
losing all your money trading over and over can be a pain in the ass, and before i had $0 there was something that stuck by me..
sure i might not be the most "richest" trader nor do i care but i do know that i've made enough to set myself up for the future
one thing that stuck by me was always to reflect and hold yourself accountable because no one is coming to save you but yourself..
i expected people to support me until i realized that its you vs you. you won't magically become rich someday and no it will not just fall out of the sky. it really does boil down to your mental fortitude.
its okay to fail... A lot of people think they need to make it within a certain timeframe or they'll never be enough. Be enough for what though? Society? Social media? Now you care about what others think..? GO AT YOUR OWN PACE. Consistency above ALL else and that "blocking the noise" does help.
9-5 employees have managers to hold themselves accountable but in this trading game you are your only accountability. Every day when you wake up you have to wake up disciplined with your journals, reflections and each trade you take, have some confidence. The only person that can change your life is you and its all in your hands
Whether it takes 3 months, 6 months or even a year, its okay because going at your own pace is the most important step of trading.. That one full port, that one risky trade will bring you right back to square one.
You only get one life. One chance to experience all of this, so don’t waste it living beneath your potential.
I want to remind myself of that every day: keep pushing, keep growing, and become the person I know I’m capable of being. Not just for money or success, but so I can genuinely enjoy this blessing called life.
I’m not a perfect person either, and I slack sometimes as well; that’s human nature. It’s more so about disciplined actions and cognitive dissonance. Show up and show up hard to this game that we're all trying to conquer
Stop being a coward. Commit to the goals that scare you and bet heavily on yourself.
Every day you hesitate is another day of your short life wasted. All because you don't have faith in yourself to truly "do the thing".
Stop playing not to lose.... It'll be too late soon.
if youre ambitious but lazy, this is a must read
"Willpower is not a personality trait. It is a prefrontal cortex function. The same region that's been working all day - and is now flooded with glutamate - is the exact region you're asking to override your impulse to stay on the sofa.
You are asking the exhausted system to fix itself using the resource it already ran out of."
spoke to enough people at the top, you realize the game is actually pretty simple
once basic needs are met, everyone starts chasing the same things
good sleep, a stable relationship, regular workouts, time alone, books, deep focus, eating on time, and freedom from other people’s opinions
funnily enough, you don’t need to reach the top to start optimizing for any of them
