The Delhi High Court has directed the Centre and the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) to pay “whatever amount it deems appropriate” to the family of Subhan Ali, a 27-year-old Indian Engineering Services (IES) officer with the BRO who went missing in June.

Today the Delhi High Court directed the Defense Ministry to provide financial assistance to the family of the young IES officer Subhan Ali, whose car fell into a deep gorge and was missing since then. 1/1
Subhan Ali met with an accident when he fell into a river in Kargil, but his body wasn't found - until Pakistan officials said they'd found a body near the LOC.
But unsuccessful attempts and delays in the DNA results have tested the family’s patience.

The Ali brothers would train UPSC aspirants together in Delhi till the Subhan himself made it first to IIT for Mtech degree and then cleared IES to land a job with Border Roads Organisation (BRO) in Kargil in 2019.
He was on a duty to check quarantine centre in Minamarg..
Pak had alerted India that an unidentified body had been found near LoC.
Indian authorities from Kargil then met their counterparts in Pak collected DNA samples from body, to be matched but wait continues.
