My family lives in Iran. I have more stakes in this war than all of those Western keyboard warriors and keffiyeh Karens. I can wake up tomorrow and not have a mom. Still, that's not the reason I'm not okay.
I know war is scary and it endangers everyone, but nothing is more emotionally taxing right now than seeing the world's reaction to our plight.
It's after 3 years of Iranian people's tireless advocacy amid absolute silence from these loud, heartless so-called human rights advocates, after the streets of Iran ran with the blood of 500+ in 2022, after the execution of 1400 (and these are just recorded estimates), after the imprisonment of torture of thousands of people in Iranian prisons, some of whom my friends, after seeing the economy do to a level where people are lucky to have a slice of bread as their only meal of the day while our entire national wealth is funneled either to the terrorists in the region or to the penthouses Israel just took out with the murderers who lived in them, after all that, to see keffiyeh Karen, who has been silent about our suffering until this very moment, proudly raise the Islamic Republic's bloody flag and say, "Hands off Iran."
No, keffiyeh Karen. No. You hands off Iran. Keep my country's name out of your mouth and my country's thought out of your mind. You don't care about us. We don't need you.
Nasrallah was *my* terrorist.
Each one of us grows up watching a terrorist on TV threatening to kill us.
For many Americans, it was Osama Bin Laden.
For me, it was Nasrallah.
I grew up in Northern Israel.
Every few years, Nasrallah would target us with a barrage of rockets. His rockets would be directed at nearby Jewish towns, but of course they miss and fall in Muslim towns in Israel. My town was one of them.
Imagine the irony.
US college students can not understand this.
*My* terrorist is dead today. It's great news not just for me, but for many Syrians, Lebanese, Saudis, and..Israelis.
I am naively optimistic.
But I hope today sends a signal to people in the Middle East that moderation, acceptance of reality and coexistence is the only way.
Terrorism way will always end up in failure. Always.
Even if it takes 32 years to arrive.
As I explain in The Parasitic Mind, the West has been infected by a Victimology Complex. The greater victim wins even if the victimhood has to be manufactured. This is precisely why the Jews are not allowed to be victims even when they are slaughtered. The one who slaughters the Jews is the "true" victim. Islamophobia is the "real" scourge. This form of Jew-hatred is a unique exemplar of existential erasure. You do not have the right to your personal tragedies. You do not have the right to mourn. Even if the Jews constitute a minuscule minority, they are construed as the oppressors, the schemers, the parasites. Billions of people are held hostage to the diabolical whims of 15 million people. The astounding accomplishments of the Jews in art, music, science, philosophy, medicine, and culture is proof of how evil they are. The immigration problems in the West is the fault of the Jews. The financial crisis is the fault of the Jews. Climate change is the fault of the greedy Jews. The industrial-scale mass rapes of British girls largely from men of the Noble Faith is the fault of the Jews (because it is the Jews who let them in). I have been a professor and student of the human mind for over three decades. I know every possible strategy to try to reason with a person and yet I'm unable to penetrate the mind of a Jew-hater. We are living in a very dark period. The cat is out of the bag. [I wrote yesterday that I might remove myself from this cesspool of orgiastic hate and yet here I am.]
If Palestinians want a better life, it can happen only after Palestine ceases to exist as an entity and that entire territory becomes Israel.
Look at Israel’s neighbours; the better ones are tinpot dictatorships. Lebanon & Palestine are run by terrorists.
The problem was never “Palestine” because that is a recent phenomenon. Palestine is simply a screensaver. The real issue is sanctioned religious hatred towards Jews. Hamas has said it. Hezbollah has said it. The Middle East street knows this.
We don’t want to recognise this because most of us know know nothing about the history of the problem. We are desperate to somehow secularise this conflict because that makes us comfortable.
What Hamas did is called Jihad. And this so called “rights of Palestinians” is a marketing stunt to cover up the killing of Jewish families by Hamas.
I stand with Israel. My best wishes are with each and every Israili soldier, my brothers and sisters who will soon cross over into Gaza and stamp out forever this evil called Hamas.
Hamas is committing a double war crime!
1. They’re firing missiles at Israel from concentrated civilian populations in Gaza and using them as a human shield, putting their lives in danger.
2. Firing thousands of missiles at concentrated civilian populations in Israel.
The IDF's obligation is, first and foremost, to protect the citizens of the State of Israel, Jews and Arabs. As a result, the IDF bombs the launchers exactly where Hamas places them, among civilians… so the next time you hear about dead children in Gaza, blame only Hamas!
Hamas is desperate! They released a video showing a dead Palestinian baby... but wait for the catch. It's not a real baby; it's a doll; yes, you read that right, a baby doll!
They realized their mistake and already deleted the video.
This exposes how hard the lying and slanderous propaganda arm of Hamas and the Palestinians works.
It’s time we stop believing your crap! In the end, Hamas will be destroyed!
Dear Western funders of @UNRWA - What exactly did you think you were supporting all these years? When you sustained, nourished, supported and indulged Palestinians, generation after generation, in the belief that uniquely among the world’s peoples in the wake of WWII, they don’t need to accept new realities, new borders, and move on with the lives; that they possess a non-existent “right of return” into Israeli sovereign territory, that their land was “stolen” and that they have the right to take it “back” by “all means” - what exactly did you think the outcome would be? Peace? Two states?
Ever since the publication of “The War of Return: How Western Indulgence of the Palestinian Dream has Obstructed the Path to Peace” @Adi_Schwartz and I met with numerous Western diplomats from the countries that fund UNRWA.
We explained to them that the Palestinian ethos, as sustained by UNRWA, has always been focused on a singular goal: no free Jews in the land, no sovereign state for the Jewish people on any part of the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. Hence “Free Palestine” and “From the River to the Sea”.
We explained that by indulging Palestinians in the notion that the war of 1948 is not over, that they are somehow, now into the fifth generation “refugees” from that war, and that they possess a non-existent “right of return” into sovereign Israel, by which they can undo Israel’s existence, UNRWA and its funders are ensuring that there will always be new recruits for Palestinian terrorism, whether Fatah or Hamas.
We explained the UNRWA provides ideological sustenance and international legitimacy through the letters “UN” and continuous Western funding, for the Palestinian belief that Israel is a temporary aberration in the region and that the clock on it could be turned back through “return”.
Almost everywhere we were met with dismissal and disbelief - “it’s just about the occupation”, “they need better conditions in Gaza”. We begged those official to stop “Westplaining” and give Palestinians the respect of taking them at their words, actions and key decisions for over a century and realize they all amount to one thing - a singular dedication to eradicating the Jewish state.
If anything will come out of the current hellscape, let it be that the world will see the Palestinian “cause” for what it is, stop indulging it, and maybe, just maybe finally lead them, 75 years too late, to “embrace defeat” (the name of John Dower’s book about Japan in the wake of WWII) and become a people focused on building a nation rather than destroying one.
His 8 year old daughter was murdered by Hamas.
“When we found out that Emily was dead we went yes and smiled, because that is the best news of the possibilities I knew. “
