The Assistant Commissioner of North Waziristan, Shah Wali Khan, who was martyred in Bannu today, was a talented, dutiful, humble, and deeply patriotic young officer who consistently placed the service of his people and region above all else.

Shah Wali Khan belonged to the Wazir tribe of South Waziristan, from the Tojaykhel–Zarmal Khel branch, and hailed from the Ghwakhwa area of Wana.

After completing his early education, he pursued higher studies at Government College Lahore, where he received the academic and intellectual foundation that later became a defining feature of his professional career.

He was not only remarkably hardworking in the discharge of his official responsibilities but also consistently at the forefront of efforts aimed at public welfare and community uplift.
