This afternoon, the Parliamentary Committee on Defense and Internal Affairs led by the Chairperson, Hon. @WKajwengye,carried out a routine fact-finding tour at the CID Headquarters in Kibuli. #sapsNW [HAPPENING TODAY] Mahikeng #SAPS along with various role players including Government Departments, NGO's and Liquor Traders Associations are addressing members of the community at Signal Hill village, outside Mahikeng today for Paint Away Gender Based Violence & Femicide (#GBVF) Outreach.
Signal Hill is one of the areas with escalating GBVF related crimes in the policing precinct of Mahikeng, hence the Outreach which is intended to sensitise the community including patrons about the scourge, of which liquor is the main crime generator. The outreach is also aimed at creating awareness through painting of GBVF message on the wall of identified taverns, in this instance, "On Your Way Tavern" in Signal Hill. #EndGBV #CommunityOutreach ME
