@MrEvanRoss Wrong.
One can vote for Platner and appreciate that he won’t let his personal moral failings turn into policy - what Trump does.
There’s nothing served in America’s or the GoP interest by Trumps DNI using taxpayer funds to investigate Trumps lies about stolen elections.
re: Hormuz “leaking” stuff (i.e. a reported rise in dark transits)
First, a general comment: I can't stand random uncontextualized transit count figures and "oh you probably aren't counting this one"isms. Show me a time series and a list of which transits your counting specifically (to cross check against my list) or gtfo.
- there have always been dark transits
- there has been a notable uptick, as reported by Kpler, beginning late-May
- that dark transit uptick has been offset by far fewer "official" Iranian route passages
- traffic remains massively throttled, headline counts little changed
- also, this is still just functionally a stock draw at this stage so it doesn't change much.
PS: Murmurs of some fresh loadings (which could mean *production*) are much more promising, but we're still talking negligible figures and as with everything else they're being blown out of proportion.
Maybe because he literally just put an entirely unqualified political hatchet man in charge of the DNI — while we’re at war — and the only reason he could give was that he would look into the “stolen” election bullshit? He’s making hugely important decisions based on a lie. That seems worth paying attention to. He also tried to set up a compensation fund for people who, inspired by his promulgation of that lie, laid siege to the Capitol. Oh and the only legislation he cares about is all wrapped up in his delusions about how elections are stolen. I can keep coming up with reasons. But the fact that the president still thinks his lie should drive policy and personnel (several J6ers work in the administration) that makes it relevant, imho.
That is some wild, unhinged stuff from the President.
Welker is a good person and honest journalist and didn’t deserve that but more importantly we have a president who constantly pushes conspiracy theories with zero evidence and can’t respond when politely challenged on that.
This is an actual page on the White House web site. It reads like something written about a third world dictator. So embarrassing. I have not seen any branch of the federal government sink this low in my lifetime.
Rollin' down the street, smokin' legal indo, sippin' on the sugar/gluten-free 5.9% ABV retail cocktail we created in collaboration with Martha Stewart.
Laid back....
@AriFleischer Ok do Trump now. Cause I’m thinking he wouldn’t get through an interview for an elementary school teacher or financial advisor or much of anything.
Nancy Mace who once said that Trump was “the only man who can save America,” still managed to be an insufficient ball fondler of Dear Leader. Ahahahahaha.
no regime change in iran, no handpicking of the next supreme leader.
no dismantling of iran’s proxies, no restrictions on its ballistic missile and drone programs.
an agreement to downblend the highly enriched uranium inside iran.
the destruction of iran’s navy, but an emboldened iran that is prepared to disrupt the strait.
throw in the cost in lives, the global economy, and the global treasure, and the reputational damage to the united states…and president trump has some serious explaining to do.
next up: cuba
“If we erase January 6th, it didn’t happen”
“If we don’t release certain inflation data, there’s no inflation”
“If we don’t measure food insecurity, no one’s hungry”
“If we delete research on right-wing violence, there’s no right-wing violence”
“If we stop Covid testing, we’ll have fewer cases”
The Trump administration wants you to believe their propaganda is fact, and control the majority of mainstream media and social platforms to reinforce their lies.
This is what authoritarianism looks like.
@hughfuckinglass@rhainman@clashreport And nothing. Except that the dummy that thought Fukuyama was a foreigner that should go back to his country blocked me. LOL
This is one of the most psychologically revealing things he’s ever said. Consider that we’re supposed to be his “friends.”
“I don't like friends that become very successful. I like people that are just OK. Even if they're terrible, I like that, too. I hate like when I have lunch with somebody that's really, really successful. I hate it. Because he or she is bragging about how great they are. And I hate that when they do that. Because they stopped me from talking about the fact that I became president.”
@JDVance Your administration just stole $1.7bn from taxpayers to give it to violent criminals and fraudsters. The "Thug Fund". You're part of the fraud.
