Small win today: we killed a feature before writing a single line of production code.
After architecture review, the team realized we were about to introduce a surprising amount of complexity to solve something that could be handled much further upstream.
Two meetings and a deleted design doc probably saved weeks of engineering work. Sometimes the most productive thing an engineering team can ship is absolutely nothing.
My inbox today is basically 40% partnership proposals, 30% creator conversations, 20% conference planning and 10% me trying to remember which time zone everyone is in π
Busy week, but some really interesting conversations happening behind the scenes. A few started months ago and are finally getting close to something concrete.
That's probably the weirdest part of partnerships. People see an announcement and think it happened overnight. Sometimes that "overnight" took six months.
One of my favorite parts of working in crypto is meeting founders and creators who genuinely love building things. Every conference reminds me that the best partnerships almost never start with a sales pitch. They usually begin with a casual conversation over coffee or someone saying, "I've been following what you guys are building."
Networking isn't really about collecting contacts anymore. It's about building relationships that still matter six months later.
Spent most of today reviewing campaign performance, and one thing stood out immediately. The campaign with the biggest budget wasn't the one that performed best. The one that won was actually one of the simplest. Clear messaging, honest communication and the right audience.
Marketing keeps teaching the same lesson over and over again: attention is expensive, but trust is priceless. You can buy impressions all day long, but you can't buy people genuinely recommending your brand to someone else. That's earned, and it's still the most valuable metric I care about.
Spent the sunday hiking instead of sitting behind a monitor.
no GitHub.
no dashboards.
no logs.
Just mountains, fresh air and way too many photos of the sunset.
. Finally had a free evening after what felt like the longest week ever.
Met a friend for Italian food, walked around the city afterwards and promised myself not to answer a single work message until tomorrow morning.
I lasted almost two hours before checking tg π
Still... progress.
