@DungeonChatter@Daniel_author@philoso_panda@Hadrians_Gate@DR_W_UT Thank you, T-Boy. ❤ your support after all these years. Have followed all.
While I'm writing the next version of Icar #ttrpg, I like to look at some of the art I'm looking forward to redoing with my update skills. Here's a Vulture Grav car from 2010. #rpg#ttrpg
@DungeonChatter Depends on setting!
For modern/sci fi: defined damage depending on weapon
For fantastical: counting success as it's quicker, less error probe and leads to lower HP numbers, so easier maths.
@MatthewIdler - Things that PCs interact with (places, people, items)
- History that can generate plot hooks
- For sandboxes: list of big bads, their motivations, random events
- One line descriptions of important NPCs
- List of example campaign endings

"Fix it with MORE BLACK, Naomi!" said Pen-ginn, whose belligerent art direction took its toll on Rob's attempt to reimagine the budget "Blackwater" space craft from Icar #ttrpg#drawing
Can I scribble an Icar MK3 droid from memory in the time it takes for my 2yo daughter to realise I have borrowed one of her pencils? Answer? Ish. Looks more cuddly in pencil. 😁 #ttrpg#Sketching
@DungeonChatter Thank you! That means a lot. It's a slog and blogging and sharing is part of keeping the momentum going.
The original was awful. I think it dates back to 1999/2000.
@Gordon_mck That's a good shout. I'm rewriting the corporations and struggling to make the text *useful*. If text doesn't add flavour, spark a plot hook for a GM or help players out of a hole then it's detail for detail sake and must be cut. #ttrpg#rpgdesign
The corporation and syndicate section of Icar is 8000 words! 🖋 That needs some serious editing ✂ I can use fewer words to provide the same flavour and give GM and players hook ideas. If it can't be used, it's fluff and must go. 👋 #ttprg#writing#gamedev#rpg#SciFi
