My WIP book cover design for my upcoming YA fantasy novel Deadline: The Great Journey.
The meaning of the Elder Futhark runes on the hammer:
Ingwaz = growth/gestation
Uruz = aurochs/strength
Thurisaz = thorn or giant/force
Tiwaz = the god Týr
Algiz = elk/protection
In a world that destroys children with Down syndrome, listen to this brave girl:
“You can try to kill off everyone with Down syndrome by using abortion, but you won’t be any closer to a perfect society. You will just be closer to a cruel, heartless one."
Charlotte Helene Fien speaks before the United Nations
I’m excited to share the cover art for The Deadline Saga Book 2: The Expanse!
This is the next step in a much bigger adventure, and I can’t wait for readers to see what lies beyond the horizon. The Expanse will be available in July 2026, with the exact release date TBA.
@tsumugi_meow He's doing the Floridian ascendance into manhood. During a hurricane we Floridan's send out our oldest son with a American flag and if they drop the flag or fall they have to wrestle a alligator to regain their honor and chance to become a man. Simple stuff really.
This man was willing to put in all the work and money it takes to keep a dog with no kidneys alive indefinitely, but he murdered his baby for having Downs Syndrome.
Just learned that the couple who aborted their baby for having Downs was a) documenting the story for weeks for clicks and b) has a disabled dog they've spent tons of $$ keeping alive. Anyone who pretends this is some morally gray issue rather that straight-up evil is either stupid or lying.
🚨BREAKING: SPECIALIST DOCTOR SAYS HENRY NOWAK COULD HAVE LIVED IF NOT FOR POLICE
In summary:
- Henry was alive when they arrived and likely clotted
- Aggressive police intervention likely tore clot
- Major Trauma department was minutes away from scene
- Judge and Pathologist were FAR TOO LENIENT on Police
- Henry Nowak had 50% CHANCE to survive
- Absolutely convinced that if he arrived in hospital alive he would have survived
This is disgusting, the family deserve justice
Full breakdown below:
Dr Krzysztof Magier [@DrMagier] based in the Isle of Wight is a qualified Paediatric Care Lead and part of the 'Critical Care Network' with experience in combat medicine training and a specialized course in treating severe injuries (including gunshot and stab wounds) has analysed the footage and claimed the AGGRESSIVE Police intervention may have contributed towards Henry's death.
Dr Magier DISAGREES with the pathologist's and judge's opinion that Henry Nowak had ZERO chance of SURVIVAL.
As well as the claim that handcuffing him essentially changed NOTHING.
In fact he claims the REVERSE IS TRUE, there is a high likelihood that the police intervention CONTRIBUTED TO HENRY'S DEATH.
He analysed the autopsy report, which points to DAMAGE to the subclavian vein as the main source of BLEEDING.
In a healthy person, venous bleeding occurs under low pressure and often self-limits thanks to the NATURALLY FORMING CLOT, while simply approximating the wound edges and compressing the surrounding tissues closes the vein enough to slow or even stop the bleeding.
The body camera footage shows that when police arrived on the scene (likely 5-10 minutes after the injury), Henry was CONCIOUS ENOUGH to speak LOUDLY.
He was therefore NOT YET in a terminal state.
After his arms were twisted behind his back and handcuffed, the vein was most likely STRETCHED, the clot TORN, and BLEEDING DRAMATICALLY INTENSIFIED.
Within just about three minutes, he lost consciousness and DIED.
People with suspected internal injuries should NEVER be moved or yanked abruptly, such actions can destroy the natural clot and lead to massive internal hemorrhage.
Instead of immediately calling a medical rescue team and handing the patient over to paramedics, the police ARRESTED HIM.
If paramedics had arrived first on the scene, Henry’s chances of survival would have been MUCH HIGHER.
AS HIGH AS "50%"—writes Dr. Magier.
Paramedics could have quickly started an IV, administered fluids to increase circulating blood volume, and tranexamic acid to stabilize the clot, and if needed, performed needle decompression (inserting a large, long needle into the lung), because the issue wasn’t so much lack of lung function, but compression of the blood-filled lung on the heart and mediastinum, which blocks circulation.
Worse still, the incident took place just a few minutes' drive by car (2–3 minutes by ambulance with sirens) from Southampton University Hospital—a regional MAJOR TRAUMA CENTRE equipped with a full team of specialists, procedures, and equipment.
"I AM CONVINCED THAT IF HENRY HAD ARRIVED THERE ALIVE THE DOCTORS WOULD HAVE NOT LET HIM DIE"—writes Dr. Magier.
The aggressive police intervention, instead of saving a life, led to death through improper handling of a severely injured person, even though world-class care was just minutes away. "I fear the Judge and pathologist were too lenient toward the police"
Let me quickly summarize the new God of War Laufey controversy, but without any straw man arguments such as accusing people of "fearing women."
>western game studios were politicized thanks to activist employees and activist investors.
>some people passed the litmus test, so they understand that politicizing a fictional hobby about fun/escapism is bad.
>some failed the litmus test so they write off criticism they do not understand as "hate."
>some agree with the agenda so they write off criticism they dislike as "hate."
>underneath it all is a leftist ideology that believes attractive female characters = sexualization, objectification and misogyny... and an obsession with "diversity and inclusion."
>enter western game developers deliberately designing female fictional characters who are ugly.
>people rightly point out that she's ugly. other people get mad and incorrectly assume that means we're calling the actress ugly: we are not.
>also some people find it a bit weird that a game called God of War, which has been about Kratos, The God of War, is back-seating him for a new woman.
>some speculate that this is the result of the aforementioned politicization, because pattern recognition and the left-wing activist obsession with "inclusion."
>the God of War developers are based in California.
The end. Hope this helps.
I weep, not only for the lost life of your child, but for the society that made you think it was acceptable to rid yourself of someone with Down’s Syndrome.
Modern eugenics, something pushed by early 20th century Progressivism, reinforced to society the idea of “purity” by ridding ourselves of undesirable people.
“What sort of a life will he have, anyway?”
That’s the question meant to put ourselves to sleep at night. We assume that by killing them now, we save greater pain in the future.
Yet the truth is: we don’t know.
“But what kind of a life is Down’s Syndrome?” I don’t know. I won’t pretend to understand. I am well aware of many challenges a person will face. But who appointed me arbiter of his life? Who am I to say that I can foresee his entire existence on earth and determine their death is a superior choice? What godlike powers must I assume to possess to even dream of being worthy to make that choice? The pride it requires is terrifying.
“Hear the word of the Lord, O children of Israel, for the Lord has a controversy with the inhabitants of the land. There is no faithfulness or steadfast love, and no knowledge of God in the land; My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge;
Hosea 4:1, 6a ESV
Ours is a society which demands work and contributions from its members. We want to be efficient and prosperous, after all. This is a well meant theme until we encounter others who “get in the way”. Then disabled, the elderly, the mentally ill…we immediately look down upon them because they can’t easily produce, fit in, or work.
In Canada, they offer assisted suicide for such “undesirables”.
Who made us God? Who gave us the right to determine the value of someone else’s life? How do we know that their worth is tied only to the money they make and service they’ll provide? How do ANY of us know how they themselves feel and what they want out of their time on earth? By what sickening logic do we feel entitled to judge?
If a man with Downs finds pleasure in a life with relatives, walking outside, watching Wheel of Fortune, and volunteering at Goodwill…how dare any of us tell him that he is better off dead? How do we KNOW that? What if that brings him happiness and value?
Our society doesn’t want to be challenged. It is quite happy focusing only upon those it deems worthy of life. Most humans won’t understand this concept until they become elderly and forgotten and it’s too late to fight back. We are terrified that if we allow a man with Down syndrome to survive, that we may learn he has something to teach us about life. That we may…see value in his joy. That we might even…love and honor him.
And we certainly can’t have that assault on our ego! Then maybe people will question our judgment!
Then we might learn to love others the way God does.
