THE LEGAL IMPLICATIONS OF THE LAUGHABLE ExDOS SUSPENSION OF MAZI NNAMDI KANU THE LEADER OF THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA
By Elochukwu Ohagi, Philosopher, Teacher and Activist, 2026.
What the sacked Directorate of State (DOS) of the Indigenous People of Biafra has done on the 18th of June 2026 is not merely an act of insubordination. It is a legally catastrophic miscalculation that will hunt them in the courts of Europe, where IPOB is duly registered as an organisation. Let me, as a non-lawyer but a man of reason and logic, break down what they have done and what awaits them when IPOB lawyers walk into the appropriate court.
FIRST: THE QUESTION OF FOUNDING AUTHORITY
Every registered organisation has a founding structure. That founding structure determines who holds supreme authority over the direction and leadership of the organisation. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu founded and registered IPOB. His name, his vision, and his authority are embedded in the founding documents of that organisation. The DOS are appointees — men and women who were given positions by virtue of the Leader's trust and delegation of authority. They did not found IPOB. They did not register IPOB. They were not there before IPOB. They came into IPOB through Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The legal question therefore is simple: Can an appointee suspend the authority of the person who appointed him? The answer in every jurisdiction — whether in Germany where IPOB's global headquarters sits, in the United Kingdom, or anywhere in Europe — is a resounding NO.
An appointee derives his authority from the appointing authority. Once that appointing authority revokes the appointment, the appointee ceases to have any legal standing within the organisation whatsoever. Any action taken by such a person after revocation is legally null and void ab initio — meaning it never existed in the eyes of the law.
SECOND: THEY HAVE COMMITTED WHAT IS KNOWN IN CORPORATE AND ORGANISATIONAL LAW AS ULTRA VIRES ACTS
Ultra vires is a Latin legal term meaning "beyond the powers." What the sacked DOS members have done is act beyond their legal powers. Their document itself, ironically, admits that "no individual of whatever rank or position has the authority or power to dissolve the Directorate of State." But they conveniently forget that the same principle — and a far stronger one — applies to them. If they claim no individual can dissolve the DOS, how then does the DOS, which is merely a directorate, have the power to suspend the founding Leader of the entire organisation?
They have walked into a legal contradiction of their own making. In court, this contradiction alone will be sufficient to invalidate every resolution they have passed.
THIRD: VIOLATION OF ORGANISATIONAL CONSTITUTION AND FOUNDING DOCUMENTS
Every registered organisation in Europe operates under a constitution or articles of association that are filed at registration. These documents define the chain of command, the powers of each body, and the limits of every office. When IPOB lawyers present the founding documents of IPOB before a European court, those documents will show clearly the supreme authority vested in the Leader. The court will then examine the DOS resolution against those founding documents. The result will be devastating for the sacked DOS members.
They will be found to have acted in direct violation of the organisational constitution — an act that exposes them to legal consequences including but not limited to injunctions, removal orders, and potential liability for any damage their illegal actions cause to the organisation and its lawful members.
FOURTH: FRAUDULENT MISREPRESENTATION AND ORGANISATIONAL IDENTITY THEFT
By continuing to issue documents, directives, and press releases in the name of IPOB — an organisation from whose leadership structure they have been lawfully removed — the sacked DOS members are engaged in what could legally be described as fraudulent misrepresentation. They are presenting
ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
By Mazi Chris Nwaọgụ
Head, 4th Administration of the Directorate of State (DOS)
Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)
17 June 2026
My dear brothers and sisters, fellow patriots, and committed members of the Indigenous People of Biafra worldwide,
It is with profound humility, a deep sense of responsibility, and unwavering loyalty that I accept the sacred mandate bestowed upon me by our Supreme Leader, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to serve as Head of the 4th Administration of the Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra.
I accept this responsibility fully conscious of the enormous sacrifices that have brought us to this moment and mindful of the expectations of millions of Biafrans at home and abroad who look to IPOB as the foremost vehicle for the peaceful realization of their inalienable right to self-determination.
First and foremost, I pay tribute to our Supreme Leader, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Through years of persecution, incarceration, extraordinary rendition, and relentless pressure, he has remained steadfast in his convictions. He has neither compromised nor capitulated. His courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the cause of Biafra continue to inspire millions across the world.
On behalf of the global family of IPOB, I express our deepest gratitude to Onyendu, to all those languishing in various prisons because of this cause, and to the heroes who paid the supreme price in this sacred mission. Their sacrifice, courage, and unwavering commitment shall never be forgotten. History will record that when many faltered, he stood firm; when others doubted, he remained resolute; and when adversity came, he refused to surrender.
The 4th Administration of the Directorate of State shall dedicate itself to the urgent priorities entrusted to us by our Leader and by our people.
Our first and most immediate priority remains the unconditional release of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and all Biafran prisoners of conscience who are detained solely because of their beliefs, advocacy, or association with the cause of Biafra.
Secondly, we shall intensify our diplomatic engagements across the international community, particularly in the United States of America, Europe, and Israel, where dedicated teams continue to work tirelessly to advance awareness of the Biafran question and to secure support for justice, freedom, and self-determination.
Thirdly, we reaffirm our commitment to the security and survival of our people. The Indigenous People of Biafra cannot stand idly by while our communities face growing insecurity. We shall continue to support all lawful efforts aimed at protecting our ancestral homeland and ensuring that the tragedies witnessed elsewhere are never allowed to consume the land of our fathers.
The most difficult challenge we have faced during the years of our Leader's incarceration has been the battle for public understanding. While we remained focused on the pursuit of justice and self-determination, hostile actors successfully propagated the false narrative that IPOB and the Eastern Security Network are connected to insecurity in our homeland.
This deliberate misinformation campaign has done immense damage to public perception and has distracted attention from the real security threats confronting our people. One of the central missions of this administration shall therefore be to reclaim the narrative through facts, evidence, engagement, and consistent public advocacy.
We shall devote significant time, energy, and resources to ensuring that our people and the wider world understand who we are, what we stand for, and why IPOB remains committed to peaceful self-determination, justice, and the protection of our ancestral homeland.
No president has done more for persecuted Christians than Donald J Trump.
Glad to join @LaraLeaTrump to discuss what I witnessed in Nigeria after @POTUS asked me to investigate the persecution of Christians.
We will never turn a blind eye to suffering Christians!
“Our soldiers, they tell us say they no get sophisticated weapons and they no get order to shoot.” “If he reach where Chief of Naval Staff go act, him they fear. He reach where Chief of Air Staff go act, him they fear. He reach where Chief of Army Staff go act, him they fear. He reach where Inspector General of Police go act, him they fear. He reach where Chief of Defense Staff, the oga of them all go act, him they fear. Now, that one no be the end. Who them they fear?”
The answer is clear: Nigeria's security chiefs are not afraid of terrorists. They are afraid of their own masters the same people funding and protecting the killers. That is why Biafra must defend itself because there is no hope in Nigeria. Visit https://t.co/T2DhB2eOhq and support your freedom
Do you know that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the ONLY person blamed & convicted for the END SARS protests, even though neither him, nor the IPOB was indicted (or even mentioned) in any of the many inquiries into the protests. Now that you know, think about it.
🔎 REVEALED: Hezbollah’s underground terror tunnel network beneath the Beaufort Ridge, planned and funded by Iran.
The tunnel network contains living quarters, water and electrical infrastructure, as well as extensive anti-tank and aerial defense capabilities intended to target IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
The project was built in proximity to Lebanese Armed Forces activity. As part of efforts to enforce the agreement between Israel and Lebanon, a request was submitted to the Lebanese Armed Forces to address the site; however, Hezbollah clearly prevented them from doing so.

It is a pity, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, that you are only now speaking out about Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s (MNK) appeal after the government demolished your building under construction. Do you truly believe that inserting yourself into MNK’s case will stop the Imo State government from targeting you? Before you parrot the statements written by disgraced lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor, demand that he show you the official stay of execution regarding MNK’s appeal judgment. Once you actually read that document, you will quietly go to bed and realize you should never listen to Ifeanyi Ejiofor again.
Barrister Aloy Ejimakor Deserves A Medal For Numerous Court Victories For IPOB And Mazi Nnamdi Kanu
By Biafra Vanguard, 05:06:26
Barrister Aloy Ejimakor is generally regarded as a competent human rights/constitutional lawyer.
A Special Counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the IPOB since March 2019. As Special counsel he handles international advocacy, not just domestic court work. From Umuahia to the UN, he made sure our voice wasn’t buried under procedure or propaganda.
Aloy chose the hard briefs. He took the protests, the prison remand, the headlines and still showed up to court prepared. That’s not just competence. That’s loyalty to justice. For his intellect, his courage, and his refusal to trade principle for convenience thank you Sir. A trusted lawyer defends a client. You defended a cause and still defending.
Here are some of his major wins :
(1) January 2022: Abia State High Court, Umuahia Fundamental rights case over the Sept 2017 military invasion of Kanu’s ancestral home. It was the first victory that declared that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu did not jump bail.
(2) October 2022: The Federal High Court, Umuahia Division, which was the first high court declaration that Nnamdi is a victim of Extraordinary Rendition.
(3) October 2023: State High Court, Enugu which declared the 2017 proscription of IPOB as a terrorist group as unconstitutional, also declared that self determination is not a crime.
(4) March 2018: African Union Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, rendered a Decision that the arrest/trial of Nnamdi Kanu/IPOB members and the proscription of IPOB are violations of African Charter.
(5) 2017–2018 United Nations Decision: United Nations Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary or Arbitrary Detentions, which ruled against Nigeria’s mistreatment of IPOB and Python Dance.
(6) October 2022: Court of Appeal "Discharged Judgement" for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Remember it was based on his Extraordinary Rendition. This was the idea of Barrister Ejimakor, he wrote the argument on the Extraordinary Rendition which was the sole basis of that Victory.
(7) 2nd July 2022: United Nations Human Rights Council: Barrister Aloy Ejimakor worked with Bruce Fein in securing the extraordinary rendition victory which directed that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu be released and compensated.
(8) In October 2022: United Nations Special Rapporteur Reports which made additional findings that MNK is a victim of arbitrary detention and extraordinary rendition. Barrister Aloy Ejimakor worked with Prof Rachel Murray (based in UK), Kanunta and Solomon Egbo.
(9) May 2021: Another United Nations Special Rapporteur Decision that declared the proscription of IPOB as a discrimination against Igbo people and therefore a violation of United Nations charter which Nigeria signed. Barrister Ejimakor worked with Prof Rachel Murray (based in UK), Kanunta and Solomon Egbo.
(10) June 2025: Kenya High Court, in which Barrister Aloy Ejimakor worked with Prof. P.L.O. Lumumba and Kanunta/FineBoy to secure the victory declaring MNK’s abduction and forcible rendition unlawful/unconstitutional and awarded damages.
These Decisions are used around the world as evidence that has resulted in granting asylum/resident status to thousands of IPOB members in many foreign countries.
In October 2025, Aloy Ejimakor was in the streets protesting the unlawful Life sentence on Kanu, he was arrested, detained and charged; and is now facing trial.
In summary, Barrister Aloy Ejimakor has proved himself a trusted counsel to his client Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the global IPOB family in all honesty and it is expected that every IPOB member, especially those who have benefited from his sweats in seeking and achieving Asylum, must accord him maximum respect.
