(+) someone actually put effort into one but didn't make it literally impossible to solve. At least, I assume so, you still need the keyword to salted Base64 to decrypt it, and that's a potential needle in a haystack situation.

It's some form of salted Base64 encryption, and OpenSSL is like the most prevalent way to salt it before it's hashed.

I have no intent on solving the entire ARG, I literally just found out about it today, I am just extremely fascinated by the fact (+)

I am genuinely baffled by this (I saw it scrolling through my For You tab) because it's actually decent encryption for an ARG/puzzle and not just Base64 with zero obfuscation.

I'm like 90% sure it's salted OpenSSL, although I could be wrong.
