@RickoftheBraid @squinteratn I can accept that yes they could be considered or likely are a victim in majority of cases but also my point remains, by increasing the age we risk increasing the number of those 13 yr old victims of exploitation. That age group becomes a more valuable commodity.

The answer is not making children more vulnerable by raising the age, it’s how we deal with them through the criminal justice system that needs review. With no consequence there is no deterrent to either individuals or groomers

@tonymcg76 @squinteratn Look I’m glad we can be civil anyway. My point is increasing the age of criminal responsibility will lead to the increase of that exploitation, which makes children less safe. Sweden is a case study, a doubling of the number of kids used by OCG’s. I’m not ok with that.

@tonymcg76 @squinteratn And I’m saying if 10-14 year olds are not deemed responsible for the crime they commit as an individual then they will become more valuable to OCG’s, they will be groomed and used almost exclusively for all the dirty work. I’d argue they would be safer in the justice system.

Raising the age for criminal responsibility will make kids between 10-14 the most valuable asset to any organised crime gang. They will be forced to do all the dirty work and warned to keep quiet as there will be no consequence. Why do we have so many morons running this place?

@drorfh Safe supply and decriminalisation are not the same as legalisation, the main benefit is reserved for crime statistics and prison populations, safe supply will save lives which would be great if the addiction can also be treated. I’ve no desire to see kids criminalised but 1/2
