I need everyone to understand this is something entirely different from most kpop groups. This isn’t about streams or numbers, or whatever metric you want to use to measure success or relevance. This is an 18 year old group, who has had the kind of success where their music has been an integral part of people’s lives. Many of us grew up listening to them. We watched them grow up. We have memories to their different songs and eras. We know the lyrics. We know the choreo. We know the members. And that goes for most idols too. Many of today’s idols grew up with BB, and made them their role models.

This is also a group who has made themselves known for being genuinely good performers. When they take the stage, you know you are in for an experience. And they were never a group that was dependent on the fandom only, they have been loved by the gp from the start. That’s why the gp keep using them as part of the soundtrack of their lives, whether it is for sports events or going to a karaoke place with your friends. It’s also why a much broader audience than hardcore VIPs lose their shit when you appear on a stage like this.

This is the OG celebrities of celebrities and idols of idols. And they got those titles for a reason. Yesterday they reunited on stage for the first time in many years. And rest assured MAMA brought them back for a reason.

I know many of you weren’t around for BBs last active era, and don’t really understand or know what they are. This seems like a good time to put some respect on their name, and figure out that BB being the legends that they are is no threat to your favs. Because it’s literally two very different things. And having them back is good for kpop as a whole.

And no matter the fandom you belong to, if you have been around long enough to know what I am talking about and you also got that massive hit of emotions yesterday - I get you! And thank you for sticking around 🫶🏻
