In 1924, Jebb attended the League of Nations convention in Geneva, where she presented her Declaration of the Rights of the Child, boldly asserting that every child has human rights.

Her declaration was adopted a year later and inspired the 1989 UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, a landmark treaty that continues to protect millions of children today.
