Terry Fox was an athlete.
In 1980, with one leg having been amputated due to cancer, he ran 5,373 km across Canada in just 143 days before dying.
His right leg was amputated in 1977 after he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.
In 1980, he began the Marathon of Hope: his goal was to receive one dollar for every Canadian in the population (24 million people at the time), and he went on to raise 24.17 million Canadian dollars in February 1981.
The Terry Fox Foundation was created one year after his death for promoting amateur races across Canada and in several countries to support the fight against cancer.
More than $715 million were raised for cancer research on Terry Fox's behalf since his death, happened in June 1981.
Co2 levels are at their highest in 14 million years and rising rapidly due to human activity, trapping heat from escaping back into space and heating up the Earth, fueling extreme climate change, pushing Earth towards unlivable Hot House Earth https://t.co/X2dMdRy59v
La inteligencia artificial es un bluff: es el último tramo de una loca huida hacia adelante de quienes todavía buscan rentabilidades locas en la tecnología.
No porque la IA no sea muy capaz, sino porque los humanos no somos tan incapaces.
