Absolutely incredible and yet another example of "things that only happen in SF".

An MTA bus ran over a man in SF and killed him without noticing. The ambulance takes him to the hospital but he's dead before arriving. The Fire Department then writes a report blaming a random Cruise autonomous vehicle that happened to be nearby for the death, despite no evidence thereof.

Cruise obviously disputes this account, provides video footage to the press and SFFD proving they're correct. Media continues reporting false information and fanning the flames.

A month later it's finally revealed that *public transit* is the hit-and-run driver that killed the man, and Cruise (ironically autonomous driving technology that would've probably prevented a collision) had no involvement. By this point the media cycle has mostly moved on and people are taking hammers to Cruise vehicles.

Khabib totally refused to be photographed with Leslie (the CEO) because he has a strict and absolute rule against being photographed with women - so all the pictures are with Mark, the CEO's husband.

Afterward I searched some to see if he ever explains his rule against photos with women and I never found him stating it explicitly, but it clearly exists. There is not a single photo of him posing with a non-wife woman.

I did however find like 200 videos of him asking ring girls (those bikini girls who wave signs around at MMA matches) "what purpose do you serve? What is your purpose, what do you add to the fight between two men?"

They're always afraid to respond to his extremely principled Muslim energy by saying "I'm here to look hot" so they just go like "ummm, uhhhh..." as he stares deeply into their eyes while frowning

One of the underappreciated reasons for why America is so corrupt is that it's politicians are so underpaid.

Basically, anyone directly leading a multibillion-dollar enterprise has to be paid millions+ annually, and tens if not hundreds of millions as it scales to hundred billion and trillion dollar enterprizes.

Otherwise not only are they easily bought, they're easily threatened.

You need that much money just to defend yourself legally, financially and physically, as well as your people. If Trump wasn't a billionaire he would be ruined and forced to cave already.

Singapore is a small city-state in southeast Asia.. a few million people, and the most junior minister makes more than a million dollars a year there... its also the best-run country in the world... because it's run like a business, and can actually attract ethical ambitious people with those high salaries.

By contrast the US you either have to be an already rich person martyring your wealth and life on the alter of public service... or you have to be corrupt as hell and actively getting rich off the grift...

Otherwise, your life will be destroyed for speaking out like Congressman Madison Cawthorne.
