“Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.”
— Al Qur’aan (33,56)
Allah will test you in 3 ways
1. Allah will give you what you want immediately & test your "GRATITUDE"
2. Allah will give you what you want with a little delay & tests your "PATIENCE"
3. Allah doesn't give you what you want & tests your "FAITH"
The delay of Rizq is a form of Rizq.
When Allah doesn't give you something you want, you pray more, you develop more gratitude, you recite more Quran, you make more dhikr, you stand more in tahajjud, you shed tears infront of Allah, your eeman and tawakkul increase, your sabr increases.
All this is a better rizq (getting closer to and depending more on Allah through acts of worship) than the rizq you are asking Allah for which is usually money.
Lesson from Surah Yusuf:
“Delays are not denial. Sometimes, Allah is writing a story so beautiful that one day, you will thank Him for every hardship.”
When Allah says Kun faya kun Be, and it is. it’s not just words, it’s a reminder that no situation is too complicated, no delay is without purpose, and no obstacle can stand in His way. What’s written for you will reach you, even if the path feels long. So trust Him.
May the Almighty guide and bless you and your loved ones always. As we gather for the joyous occasion, spare a thought and pray for those facing turmoil and calamity the world over. Reach out to those in need.
The Almighty will test your character. Are you paying lip service to your faith? He will also send challenges in many forms. Your wealth, your children, people you mix with etc. He will look at your heart. If you’re sincere, you’ll succeed.
Almighty. Grant us comfort amid our hardships and challenges. Give us the strength to weather the storms passing by. We know You’re on our side. Although we are overwhelmed at times, we are not in despair. Make us content and humble as we lay our full trust in You.
Correct others in a tasteful manner that they don’t get upset, defensive or even aggressive. Do it gently with kindness. Sometimes when you give advice, people become worse off than they were before because of the way you did it.
Qadr - If it's meant for you, it will find you
Tawakkul - Always have Trust on Allah.
Khair - No matter what happens, there's always "Khair" (goodness) in it.
Sabr - Indeed Allah is with those who are patient.
Shukr - If you are grateful, I will give you more.
Almighty. Grant peace to our hearts that are heavy and our minds that are restless. Be our light when we can’t see the way. Bring hope to those who are struggling and feeling helpless. We thank You for Your endless Compassion and Mercy. Aameen.
اللهم اكفني بحلالك عن حـرامك، وأغنني بفضلك عمن سواك
[Allāhummak-finī biḥalālika ʿan ḥarāmika, wa ʿaghninī bi faḍlika ʿamman siwāk]
O Allāh, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden, and make me independent of all others besides You.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Always keep your tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime."
[Sunan Ibn Majah 3793]
سُبْحَانَ اللّٰه
Subhan Allah
Glory be to Allah
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰه
Alhamdulillah
Praise be to Allah
ٱللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ
Allahu Akbar
Allah is the Greatest
اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰه
Astaghfirullah
I seek forgiveness of Allah
لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰه
La ilaha illallah
There is no god but Allah
May Allah ease the hardships of all struggling Ummah, whether silent or not. God sees everything; trust in His mercy and believe that victory, blessings, and success are just around the corner, coming soon to your doorstep.
Being pious doesn’t give you the right to be harsh to those around you. If at all, you should be gentler, kinder & always willing to extend a helping hand. Be strict with yourself by all means but when it comes to others, a softer approach will often achieve much more.
Yā Allāh, Yā Raḥmān, Yā Raḥīm, Yā Ghafūr, Yā Tawwāb, Yā Quddūs.
O Allāh, Lord of all mercy and light, we turn to You with humbled hearts.
O Allāh, forgive us our major and minor sins, the ones we remember and the ones we have forgotten, the sins we committed openly and those we committed in secret. Cleanse our hearts from every stain of disobedience and draw us closer to Your mercy.
O Allāh, protect us from all forms of addiction, seen and unseen, physical or spiritual. Remove from our lives anything that harms our hearts, our minds or our souls, and replace it with strength, clarity and steadfastness.
O Allāh, accept our ʿibādah, our prayers, our fasting, our charity, our righteous deeds and every moment we try to please You. Accept even our imperfect efforts, for You know our struggles better than anyone.
O Allāh, answer our duʿās – the ones we speak, the ones we whisper, and the ones hidden deep in our hearts that only You know. Grant us what is best for us in this world and the next, with Your mercy and grace.
Āmīn.
