Anyhow, the resource lacking to 'cure cancer' is not the existing human intelligence, it is-waitforit- TIME, MONEY and STABLE JOBS.

Umm who is going to tell him that experiment or research ideas are not the problem of academic research :) People do not need AI to think. The system needs facilitation in other areas so that researchers have the time and space to execute their ideas.

Sam Altman says AI will someday be able to cure cancer in collaboration with humans by suggesting wet lab experiments to do and then thinking about the results

or how about AI removal of bias during revisions or funding applications? Though since the information available for AI is based on the existing human biases, I don't know how that could be trusted either..
