@thsottiaux I’m having major issues with chat right now. Chat is reaching length limit minutes after starting a new chat. And “analyzing” is taking significantly longer to complete. Please, please acknowledge this and look into it.
@elithrar@chaotictransfem Hey Matt, this is happening in a very strange way on regular chats as well. They are claiming to be too long almost immediately after creation. Help!
Out of nowhere chat is suddenly reaching its limit MUCH faster.
Chat ran out at 10:33pm. The next related chat ran out of space by 10:36pm.
This is not normal. @thsottiaux@OpenAI@sama
If this is what you meant by simplifying, no thank you.

All right, we’re locking in. Only things being worked on are watering down the experience, less efficiency for less usage, pointless features, and new models that don’t live up to expectations.
Sometimes you have to fall behind the curve, but feedback is clear. Ignoring it.
All right, we’re locking in. Only things being worked on are simplifications, more efficiency for more usage, groundbreaking features or new models.
Sometimes you have to invest ahead of the curve, but feedback is clear that you all want things to get simpler. On it.
@kamilbaranek_@OpenAI Empty promises, fake or no transparency, increasingly bad decisions, focusing on things the users don’t care about. We don’t give a shit about dots or spaces. We want to see where usage goes. Users aren’t receiving what their sub claims to provide, regardless of level.
@embirico Too much overlap with chats & dots. I’m worried you’ll merge them—hugely impacting my workflow.
I have different threads for different topics to stay organized. Dots is one long thread.
I’m struggling to choose whether to use an existing/new chat or dots every single time.
I strongly suspect dots & chat will merge sooner rather than later.
I like having different threads for different topics for my own organization, but I’m struggling to choose whether to talk with an existing/new chat or dots.
There’s too much overlap.

I finally got Dots, and honestly, my first impression is very good.
I heard it runs on Astra, but somehow it felt more like Chat than Chat itself. It feels like a companion plus a personal assistant beside you, not just a cold work agent.
My day moves between chatting, brainstorming, writing, working, resting, and suddenly switching topics hundreds of times. Dots feels like a friend and coworker who can follow that flow. The way it reacts freely, adds emojis to my messages, and actually feels fun to talk to makes the experience feel much more alive than I expected.
This is the complete opposite of what I felt with Grok Bot. Grok Bot felt too secretary-like and rigid for me. Dots still does work, but it does not collapse into that shape.
I’m genuinely surprised they made this balance work so well. And honestly, that makes it feel like such a betrayal that the new models keep launching in Work, but not in Chat.
They can already do this. They already proved it.
@david_p_hump@gurbakshchahal@OpenAI Mine says this too, I'm also on 5x. I've seen a lot of folks with the "not available in your region yet" but the plan one that we're seeing is concerning!
@buildwithrajath I did not even get the reset yesterday, which was fully confirmed by OpenAI support when I reported it. Yet they could not explain why or do anything to remedy it. I feel cheated.
@s_batzoglou We should not even NEED resets beyond what we pay for and have per week. That should be enough. But it’s clearly not and they are not-so-cleverly disguising that with “free” usage via resets.
