Lorenson and Kline’s 'Marching Cubes’ isosurface extraction algorithm ignited my interest in medical imaging when I was in CS grad school in the 90s. I’ve worked in imaging ever since and still love it, thanks to Bill Lorensen and his work.
(1/2) Kitware founders, employees, & the VTK, ITK and 3D Slicer communities are saddened by the loss of Bill Lorensen. Talented, dedicated, generous, and kind, he passionately served the VTK community for 25+ years.

The first OrthancCon is a wrap, and it was a great success! People coming from all over the world to promote and discover free and open source medical imaging software. Great thanks to the @osimis_io team for creating this wonderful event.
I Do Imaging is the number 1 search result for 'free medical imaging software' on the thinking person's search engine, @DuckDuckGo ! The Evil Empire only ranks it no. 5.
