The airport authorities regularly auction grounded planes to willing buyers who use them for tourism purposes e.g restaurants, picnics, amusement parks, training etc. This is definitely one of them. The buyer probably abandoned it there.

Yes. former Gov of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, built a lot of those kind of hospitals that never really took off. I don’t know what the problem was though but I think again that it’s not just about building them, attracting the doctors to work there is another problem.

But a facility probably worth tens of billions of naira was wallowing in dilapidated. It was an eyesore

I do hope private investors acquire that facility in Owerri.
It has huge potentials ( that is if it still exists)

South East needs to really attract Healthcare investors.

@fimiletoks Very true! Consistently, the responsible Agencies that are supposed to maintain standards in the economy keep failing in their responsibilities. Counterfeited and undeclared refurbished products everywhere!

@GbengaWemimo So sorry to hear this GSW. However, one way to help Nig as well is to report incidents like this to local authorities. It’s worth investigating so that corrective action can be taken. U could’ve been arrested! @PoliceNG @NgComCommission @fccpcnigeria should be interested in this

@foluoladipo @DrJoeAbah @NigeriaCAA True @foluoladipo. Some local airlines announce either of switch off or flight mode for takeoff & landing. The problem here seems to be the insistence on fiddling with the phone instead of momentarily keeping it away. Once kept away, they’re never bothered abt which happened.

@renoomokri We have come to the point in our national life where we need to sit down and do some serious introspection. There's no reason why the states can't sustainably generate revenues from their resources and contribute chunks to the center instead of being spoon-fed.
