A truck, because Gaza’s water infrastructure has been devastated. A truck beaches wells and distribution networks have been damaged, groundwater is often too saline for drinking, and families across Gaza have become heavily dependent on distributed water.

At 82, he should not be spending what strength he has left searching for something as basic as clean water. His suffering also did not begin in October 2023. Palestinians in Gaza have lived through years of blockade, displacement, occupation and repeated destruction. And today, elderly people like him are still carrying the physical weight of it.

He is older than the illegal, Zionist, colonial-construct of the state of Israel itself. And he deserves so much more.

On September 2, in Jamil Wadi, Khan Younis, our team provided water trucks and access to clean water. The Sameer Project can give him some relief - some - with your help, amidst the historical level of suffering.
